Has anyone ever read up on sites like waterwar.net or my absolute favorite, h2ocommandos.com? Are these guys fucking serious? Doesn't some of that constitute pedophilia? I really cannot fathom in my deepest mindset that GROWN MEN, or as it were MAN, can take super soakers, or just water guns in general that serious. OK yea, I'm a 20 yr old, 21 soon enough, who enjoys nerfing. However, I can pull myself out of the phantasy realm and have a real life. I wouldn't be caought DEAD in full fatigues in a nerf war. It's not at all that it's gay, it's that it's 100+ fucking degrees out. It's the summer, water guns are for playing in your swim suits, ASS! I've never been so enraged and dumbfounded at the same time. Somebody help me out here. What do you think of the SS community as a whole, and I'm not lookin to pick a fight, I just need some clarification.

I think you're takeing their site way too seriously. It's a community of kids and adults who like to have fun shooting water at each other. The particular group that has their pictures on the one site happens to have a couple members that wear cammo. If you weren't a nerfer and you stumbled upon LGLF.tk, you'd think that all nerfers are lonely geeks wearing finger gloves and cammo pants who take a game that revolves around toys way too seriously (and ocasionally fall in the tub and sprian there collective hips) But you, as a member of the community, know that we're just one group that enjoys the use of toung-in-cheek humor, and the rediculous outfits are just us having fun with the game.

Yeah, i wouldnt come down to hard on those guys,

Im sure they probably think the same thing of us, considering the fact that we shoot soft, foam ammunition out of bright colored plastic guns.

They do their own thing, we do ours. It's fun, but I agree that some of them take it too seriously, but some Nerfers take it too seriously. Whatever floats your boat.

It sounds about the same as nerf, just some pals getting together to have some fun. Their websites a little core though.

hmm...gals in wet shirts, might have to check it out.

Okay, I think this is a special case that deserves extra attention, so I will take a second to examine the issue of this 47 year old "Cmdr.Bob".

Case Study #1: In which Bob officially recalls his "ENDORSEMENT" of Super Soaker products. This was apparently on account of the fact that Hasbro hasn't been producing good enough blasters, and has not given him any test products for free, or let him tour their facilities. In his own words:

"I can no longer respect a company who is disrespectful towards me regardless of the freebies of the past, nor can I endorse such poor products . . . I look forward to BuzzBee Toys product line."

Sell-out! Granted, big companies like Hasbro have to be careful for their average consumers, and they cannot produce high powered weapons of destruction. That being said, how does this guy feel his endorsement means anything at all?? We're talking about 1 guy outside Hasbro's target market of 1 billion children. And he runs an obscure squirt gun fetish webpage.

Case Study #2: in which Bob argues emphatically for 3 pages that a recently released small, old-school squirt gun 4 pack should not be labeled as "blasters", nor should they come in packages of 4 since it's "bad chi".
Posted Image
Also, a section he added to his website titled "PRODUCT ADVISORY" in which he warns against this apparent product misrepresentation. :P

Case Study #3: Something else interesting, on his Storefront page where he sells the standard shirts/stickers/hats like we do here, he also has a link to a 'Manual' of sorts that he has written and is trying to sell. Some sort of guide to working at Tropical Resorts? I guess that partially explains his fascination with "squirt guns", though not so much so at his age. Also, that doesn't make the fatigues any more reasonable...

Case Study #4: Bob with his arsenal of alluring goodies.
Posted Image
Check what's hanging from the back of his helmet on this pic. Kids, I have a feeling that isn't a wookie pelt. Just a normal, classy hairstyle for a children's role model. :o

Case Study #5: First, on the main page is the header bar which shows a man in full camo and body paint, with a giant engorged squirt gun, letting a hot blast loose on a group of unsuspecting kids. Secondly, is the mission statement that the webpage opens to.

The H2O Commandos is a growing group of water warriors consisting of youths and adults who share a similar passion for water weapons and who enjoy getting together on hot sunny days for a good water fight.

Basically, I think the problem is that this guy has spent a little bit too much time out in the sun with little boys. :nugget:

Nice research, I would of never spent that much time on the site. I was also waiting for someone to post a pic of the old guy in camo with his bitchin' blasters. Just the look of Bob scares me, he's just too damn happy. But I agree with everyone else about kids who take playing with squirt guns just as serious as we do with nerf. It's just a bunch of kids having fun with squirt guns.

True... but full camo? It's a bit too far with that part. And he's stopping endorsement of Hasbro in an attempt to get free guns? That's really... sad...

Poor Bob. Very wardrobe challenged. Did you notice that there are two angles on his coat rack and he doesn't own a coat in any color other than camo or olive drab? Get with it Bob! Black trench is the favored outer garment of the modern psycho killer.

Jesus CX, your like fucking Superman seeing that shit. I guess I just couldn't look at the screen for long enough periods of time.

Ok, yeah, camo in a water fight is silly. You think you get swamp ass in a nerf war? Not to mention, I've worn Camo to nerf wars when we're playing in the woods. I also wore it to the horsemen war and kicked myself all day for it. It's too heavy, and too hot for that shit.

Oh yeah, and sure Hasbro's never done anything for our community. I have Nerf Sweatshirt and 500 miles on Hershes Mom's SUV that says otherwise.

Guys, you're being very hypocritical. Let's all face it, 40 year-olds playing with water guns may seem silly, but it's not that different than what we do when we Nerf. A lot of people think that playing with foam shooting guns is stupid, but hey, we have a good time. Having fun is all that matters, whether you're playing with squirt guns or foam shooters.

I have been thinking for a few minutes, and I can't really come up with a game for water guns. Nerf, when your hit... something happens. I wonder if it is the same in water wars? Anytime I play with water guns it is a Free-For-All-soak-your-opponents-until-they-cry-for-mercy-fest. Does anyone know of any good Water war games?

One Hit Kills, OHK for short. It's basically like Nerf.

But in Nerf, it is not impossible to dodge darts. Since Super Soakers produce steady streams of water, that's next to impossible.

Under the OHK rule, the game would all be about gun range.

Well, others play under rules that one's entire shirt must be soaked, requiring high water volume flow rate, which forces attention to trade-offs between range and quantity. Like multi-hit rules in our games.

I'd suspect one of the best guns available to Soakers would be something like the CPS2000 (you know, the purple-tanked phallacy), with an adjustable size nozzle. With that kind of power/weight balance and versatility, you'd have pretty much the best soaker on the field.
But hey, I'm not even sure how exactly those bolts spin the water streams without dispersing them, so obviously soakers are not my domain. :P

You're right, Zero. The "Penis gun" sells for upwards of $100 on Ebay. I've never had one, but they must be damn good. They treat it like a holy grail. It's the most dependable one ever built. Only one person has opened theirs up and some saw it as a travesty and some saw it as a breakthrough. I would love to put that valve into Nerf or something, but I could never destroy a gun that cost me $100 or that I could sell for that amount.

Isn't the CPS2000 the one that Gaebo claimed could shoot 300 ft. or something?

Heh, if he said that to any of these people, I'd bet they'd wig out.

I think Gaebo modified his CPS2000 to fire nerf darts, which I believe would go farther than shooting a stream of water.

I have a CPS 2100. Since I have never in person seen the 2000, how does my 2100 differ? (besides the rotating nozzles)
