[Zaxbys]

Where to begin... So many laughs and such a great war... It seems southern wars get better and better every time.

+Pre war mod party was ftw
+Seeing old friends and new faces
+Whistling gunslinger rounds with Rork
+New gun worked very well throughout the day but I miss the Guru
+Team Tbow
+ Finding out for myself that hoppers are just fail
+No rain
+Realizing I need to get into shape because I felt like shit after that war
+Post war meal was just win
+GAUNTLET WAS SWEET
+Losing 1v1 face offs but somehow always managing to win if it is 2 against me... wtf
+Spud letting me use his dremel to do a mid war fix..thanks again
+All around good sportsmanship
+Great time from start to finish and the use of such great racial euphemisms toward Rogue
+Chicken's guns didn't break and Old Guy s getting too good for his own good
+Cops just sat there and watched and even moved there car forward to get a better view of the win...

Great war guys and I cannot wait to nerf again... I am sore as hell and am now going to take way to many tylenol and sink onto my couch

I'll be honest here, this wasn't one of the best wars for me. I wasn't really at the top of my game for whatever reason, whether it be from not running enough to no salvo tanks/lack of use with my SNAP. I just wasn't doing well.
Of course, that doesn't mean it wasn't a great war.

Highlights
- 15 people tops... while there should have been more, that's still a good sized turnout.
- Meeting some extremely cool new guys; Nerkum, Cory and nerfomania
- Zax, Rogue, and rork deciding to team up. Yay...
- Nerkum's crossbow. Like, holy shit. He was easily trading shots with SNAPS with that thing
- Getting a NIB Big Salvo for $12, and another single air tank
- Getting shot right in the nipple from no more than 30 feet, courtesy of rork's SNAP
- Carpe. Probably the most intense round. Ever.
- Poptart: "No going off solo, okay guys?"
- Poptart: (goes off alone)
- Triple meatshield
- "What's better than one Tornadobow?! TWO Tornadobows!"
- Dual TTG's. Hella long time to reload, but very fun to use...
- If anything, my dart-dodging skills have increased dramatically. Just ask... most people.
- Rogue clearing his breech from his LS... it was angled just right... it shot the dart in a perfect ark... and freakin' took out my last life. That was at least 120 feet away.
- First FFA round. Running from Rogue + trying to flip speedloader = falling to and rolling on the ground, while gun and barrel fly out of your hands.
- Umpa, I demand you not bring that guest to a war again. Right after I cleared in, he ran up to me and point-blanked me with your SM1500, yelling "Oh yeah" or something like that. Afterwards, just saying "Chill out, it's a nerf gun." I should've taken my SNAP to him. What a dick.
- Drinking tons of gatoraide
- Cory is my new best friend
- My dad's gun working great... as in, not breaking!
- My BBB doing awesomely. I love that gun. The chicken on it makes it shoot at least 15' further
- Team Chicken winning the last gunslinger's pistol round
- Freakin ant bites...
- Ants also infesting Nick's subway
- Getting a lot of darts back
- rork and Zax whistling in unison
- Rogue being a rockstar
- Chain forgetting that we had no alliance.
- Nerkum's and Nerfomania's incredible creations
- Dongshots suck
- IN THE FACE
- Finally seeing Rachetblasts in person. I love them

- Rogue uses Asian baby fat on his salads. HARDCORE
- Boobies? Girls are disgusting!

First off I just want to say... LONGSHOT'S SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1!!
Yeah this was a pretty awesome war guys, very awesome!

PROS:
-Barrell taping Rouge by running across the field JUST to barrel tap.
-Getting some sweet advise from Zaxby's on how to compete in a nerf war. Really, great advice.
-Meet SO many people
-Getting shot by Old Guy point blank in the chest when I had my gun up. That STILL hurts!
-Seeing Rouge's COCKSTAR in action. That 2k packs a punch!
-Buying so many new guns. Thanks everyone.
-Winning the L/R plusbow. Rouge and Louie, Thanks A LOT! I will take care of that work of art, don't worry.
-Gettin' lots of advice form the vets.
-Seeing all those darts after our last dart sweep.
-Rork shooting me under the portable just after I missed him doing the same.
-Joining Nerf Revolution for winning the bow.
-Having a lot of cool guys out there. No fights. No bad attitudes.
-Seeing CrazyCade getting his lunch THREE HOURS late. Seriously, you could have borrowed my phone...
-Seeing the MANY SNAPS out there. Rork, Chicken, Nerfomania. I need to make one soon.
- Seeing just how happy Nerfomania was with that TBow from Rouge.
-Loaning my Dremel to Zaxby's and getting a new nickname. (Check signature.) I'm glad it worked well for you.
-Hearing all of the bashing of so many nerfers.
-Having my shotgun match up so well with everyone else's guns.
- Holding that awesome Crossbow and RachetBlast. Really cool guns Nerkum!!

CONS: (There really weren't any but here is what I can think of...)
-Shooting Rork in the bridge of his nose with my pistolsplat on his first round. Sorry again man.
-Having to shoot Cade point blank with my shotgun. I wish you just let me barrel tap you...
-BEING SO HOT OUT!
- Chiken, your right, Nick's friend, although I really don't care, just dragged the hopper on by + bow on the ground. Have some respect for someone's stuff bro!!
-Seeing Cade's 3k shoot so terribly. I felt really bad when I would shoot him.
-HAVING TO PLAY AGAINS A LONGSHOT! WHAT A BAD WEAPON!!

I'm going to try to get to Orlando in January? So watch out!!

Personally, I really felt this war was phenomenal.

- Many veterans showing up to show the rest of us up
- Another visit from our TN nerfers - Chain, Derrick, Brandon and Cade - great to see you guys there.
- A lot of new faces
- Overall decent sportsmanship
- Watching the trio of Rogue, Zax and Rork own the first 3-man round...then banning them from doing so again. Forever.
- Enjoying my Chicken-mod shotgun with hopper. Screw y’all—I ain’t too proud to use one.
- Having said shotgun last the entire day (despite some coupler issues). Still much more reliable in 90 plus degree heat then that pos LS.
- Turning to my trusty NF for pistol rounds. Has yet to fail me.
- From the corner of my eye, seeing someone take a tumble in the first FFA then turning to see Chicken rolling on the ground, stirring up a dust storm. Wish I had my camera.
- Making Rogue chase me around the portables before he finally got me. Took you long enough to chase down a 50 year old guy... better get to the gym and work out a little more, brother.
- Chasing Spud down for a barrel tap. I'm too old for this shit...
- Chicken and I downing nearly 300oz of Gatorade and our traditional 12-hour soaked subs (homemade this time, not Publix.)
- Carpe was everything a Nerf game should be. Wish we could’ve done it a few more times. Seriously.
- Umpa + snapbow = pain. At any distance.
- Standoff with Zax in the last FFA, each with one life left, and distracted him whilst Rogue snuck up to do my dirty work. Yeah, I was hoping to finish off birthday boy myself but at my age, I’ll take whatever help I can get.
- Chicken and I taking out Rork and Zax in the final Gunslinger round. The only round we won but a good way to finish the day.
- Sunday am: not as sore as I thought I'd be. Golf is still on for Monday.
- Chain, if you ever decide to host in TN, we’re there.

Mehs...
- Hitting Spud in the chest. Dude, I can’t apologize enough. You came around the corner and when I caught a glimpse of your shirt, I thought you were Poptart being his usual sneaky self so I shot first and asked questions later. Just didn’t want you to think I did that on purpose.
- Could’ve witnessed some better sportsmanship from some people. On the other hand, being their first war, I’ll give the benefit of the doubt and assume the behavior will improve next time.
- I agree 100% with Rork; six people should not have to clean up after 18 at the end of the war. Pitch in next time.

Post War Dinner at Chili’s
- In attendance: Rogue, Zax, Rork, Nerfomania, Cory & Chicken.
- While I am disappointed I missed the 5-man group shower at Zax’s beforehand (then again, maybe I’m not) it was great to chillax and enjoy a beer and a great steak dinner.
- Was hoping for a display of pole vault talents (despite claims to the contrary ) but yes, Rork, we tipped her well. Anyone who gives Rogue a non-working pen on purpose just so we can see how long it takes him to fill in his receipt can roll with us anytime.

Don't worry man, I was glad to get shot by that thing at close range. You can't REALLY tell how good a blaster is until you really get shot by it.

STUFF:
-My darts actually working in my 1500 for once!...until the heat killed the glue on the pump.
-Rockin' the SNAP all day, got a few comments on my accuracy with that thing.
-Chicken still using his BBB, I'll never understand it.
-Duals with Rouge and that sucky LS.
-Nerkum showing up to another war with that awesome hellcannon.
-Kade and the other TN nerfers.
-Team T-bow is beast.
-I actually want to finish my LS now.
-Damn ants, my back is so itchy today.
-That drive back was intense. Crazy hard rain.
-Cory and Nerfomania were awesome.
-Me and Cory sprinting across the field...4 times.
-I was dodgin' like a ninja out there.
-Discovering a welt from the Pumpsnap when I got home. I need to do that to mine.
-Carpe was the most tiring thing ever.
-"Have you seen his mad bowstaff skills?!?!"
-I finally figured out the problem with my hopper.

That's not all, but I can't think of anymore right now. We need to have wars more often.

Recaps:

+ Meeting everyone I have seen on the boards or chatted with IRC.
+ Getting a BAMF LS from Rogue.
+ Getting the Maverick kill.
+ Squeezing off a shot at poptart from slow reload crossbow, him rushing up saying "Barrel Tap?", me pulling my maverick out of my cargo pocket saying "No" while firing at him.
+ Chicken for letting me use his extra stefan clips.
+ Rogue's long distance shot on FC "clearing the breech".
+ Only played one round with Rogue on my team, but we held down the field with LS's.
+ Skinned my knee in the first pistol round, I haven't skinned my knees in decades... felt good to get out and have fun.
+ Teaming with Old Guy, he knows how to hang with teammates and get angles. Great wingman.
+ "Oh shit" Moment, when I shot Zaxby's right in the glasses from 30' with LS. (I think it was the edge or on the skin right next to the glasses).
+ Sitting in my AC'd car in between rounds when the temp went up, and then getting razzed by everyone when I came out. Awesome good times.
+ Getting a couple of nice long distance shots in the Guantlet round.
+ Chatting Nerf in between rounds. Some good insight on new ideas and general BS.
+ Getting to show off guns that people have never even touched before and letting them get a feel for them.
+ Dual Ratchet Blasts in the Vet Sandwich round. Didn't hit anyone, but I was a great distraction.
+ Testing out guns and getting ideas on how to improve their overall performance (especially when the heat hits).
+ Hot shower FTW!

Can't wait to hit up some more wars, may even start hosting them here in the ATL when I find a good park/location.

We need to do another one of these soon. Southern Nerf is pretty awesome. we had representatives from 4 states at this thing, coming from 3 hours+ in all directions. We're fucking hardcore. Also, my birthday is coming up, so that might might be a fine excuse to pilfer some swag hang out with friends.

A few other great things from he war: Nerkum running the Gauntlet with a stock BS, Old Guy finally getting a legit gun, and Chicken being all overly energetic and making the rest of us look bad by consistently dodging dart after dart from hoppered death cannons, then getting kills with a fucking BBB. Argh. Also, getting some sweet double kills/long range, running windage shots, and shooting Spud under the portables after he tried to sneak up on me

I have never read more positive posts and more enthusiastic run-downs than on this war. Makes me feel like a cross country road-trip would be worth it.

SonReeceSonJensen: we'd love to have some travelers down here. I can honestly say that I have never gone to a war down here (especially those hosted by the current group) and not had a great time. and Nerfomania's guns were super impressive. Looking at that pumpSNAP made me feel all tingly.

Also, I had a SNAPbow semi-break on me for the first time ever this war. Which gives me an unparalleled excuse to construct a couple new death cannons. Stay tuned.

Well I guess its about time I posted my own recap.
Pros:
-It was my first war and I had an absolute blast!
-people were all quite nice and very much fun to be around and I enjoyed meeting everyone who attended (as well as hoping that they also enjoyed my company).
-I bought 2 amazing blasters; Rogue’s original TornadoBow(with which I have a plan which involves a Splitfire and the 2 BS tanks), and a big-blast with a integrated mm tank made by Rork.
-Rocking said big-blast with Rork.
-Almost shooting rogue in the face on multiple occasions
-My pumpsnap (before it broke[I will get pics to you shortly rork as well as the $5 I owe you])
-My brothers Effeminate ls doing alright
-Had a ton of darts and had about 90% recovery
-“because cancer is funny” lol
-Sneaking up on people in the portables
-Two TornadoBows!?!?!!
-Giving zax some white foam for his birthday.
-Cops just watched Ftw!
-Won the 2k in the raffle (big plans for a small blaster)
- Held a lot of guns I’ve never seen in person before (awesome crossbow, rfsg’s, al stacked lpl)
- Realized I don’t really like hoppers (inconsistency).
-Old guy is a beast.
-Portable play was so much fun.
-freaking sweet dinner afterwards.
-we all know what bubbles does at her other job. lulz

Cons:
-Hotter than a habanero in hell.
-My darts swelling like crazy.
- Pumpsnap breaking (catch issue) .
-Was a bad sport when I point-blanked my brother when he shot me in the arm from 20 feet (sorry guys).
-Carpe was fun but I dunno if I would do it again unless it was a bit cooler.
-Not selling anything ( I brought a trunkful of blasters)
-I literally could not walk the day after the war, as well as being in pain until today.
-the 3 hour drive wasn’t bad but I definitely agree that we need to find a location in Atlanta (I will keep my eyes open since I live in northern Cherokee county) that would be sweet.
-feeling very sick after some rounds (man I’m outta shape) due to said heat.

Overall I will definitely be attending as many wars in the future as possible. It was more fun than I have had in what feels like years. You guys are awesome.
