If I am replacing the tank should I attach the new tube to the goo gage or the main tank
Why are you attaching tubing to the tank you are replacing?

Anyways, I believe the goo gauge is optional, so try whatever works. Either hook up the replacement tank through the goo gauge to the pump in the existing setup, or try to attach some other pump to see if the tank will work without the gauge. If you think about it, the goo gauge doesn't really do anything too significant, so it can be bypassed.
Attach tubing isn't a hard thing for these, so you could just try it before having to ask about it.

Removing the goo gauge won't effect the functionality of your blaster, so if you don't want it, you can get rid of it. However, I find them very useful for detecting/ruling out any air leaks, so if I were you, I would consider leaving it in if possible. I find it odd how so many people are so quick to yank them out and throw them in the trash. If you think about it, the goo gauge doesn't really do anything too significant, so it can be bypassed.
