There is a new Nerf Arena in Allentown PA. I've talked to the owners and they're very excited to hold us as a group. We may even get some new blood from the people who already play at the field. Here's the details:

Where: Allentown PA, check www.thegridcode.com for an address.
When: April 24th 9am-2pm (due to restrictions with other groups at the field the hours are not standard nerf war hours)
How to register: Send me a PM for my paypal account and send me 5 bucks per person in your group with your screen name so I know you paid. If you want to wait and give it to me at March Meltdown that's fine as well. This needs to be in before April 1st. After that we'll figure out how many people are showing up and divide the remaining balance. That will be how much everyone will owe the day of the event. The 5 dollars is not refundable if you have to back out, so make sure you save the date. If you have to cancel at the last minute you will basically be screwing everyone who shows up, so if you register you need to show up.

Rules: As of now standard Mag 7 war rules apply. Absolutely no Doomsayers, 5k's, homemade airguns or Titans.

I've already put down a deposit of my own money to reserve the date so you bastards better not screw me.

Awesome. Are we looking on a restriction on blasters, or just the normal bans? Being indoors, I'd suggest we mandate slug darts at the least, but that's just my opinion. Anyway, I have no specific restrictions in april as of right now. Put me down as coming and I'll let you know if and unavailable days crop up.

Only weekend that doesn't work for me so far is the first, which is Easter weekend. All others look open so far, but the later in April the better for me.

I would be up for it as long as there's pics of what it looks like. I also do not really think slug darts are really any safer than standard stefans.

Okay, so no, we have no gun restrictions. They're basically letting us make the rules while we have the field. Eye protection is obviously mandatory and we should watch our mouths while we're there. I've seen some pictures of the place, but they're not all that good. The place is basically a room set up with bunkers made of tires and cardboard boxes. They're not worried about any damages to the boxes because they change them out regularly. I'm going to go out there before the war and get some of my own shots plus some video of me firing my Plusbow in the room so we'll get an idea of how things will perform. They've also got a huge group of nerfers who already play there that had no idea about our community so we may be getting some new blood and some new members for the site as well. They understand that we're really strict as far as conduct goes and they seem to agree that douchebaggery will not be tolerated. The guy was really cool on the phone and seems really excited to work with us. So we'll see. As of right now this is looking extremely promising. I'll update the first post with the dates. Easter is out obviously.

I guess what I'm getting at is we should consider not allowing slingshot or other heavily weighted darts. Slug darts are lighter and, as such, do not shoot as hard out of high powered blasters. Similarly light darts perform....similarly.

17th looks best for me. I have a specific hvz rfsg with 6'' barrels, doesn't get over 60 with slug darts, would you mind if I use that? could we have a ruling about the darts after you check it out, I would hate to make new darts over that. Looks like a good time, cant wait for the war.

Jesus, I somehow totally blew over this thread. Anyway, the first weekend I have a family reunion thing in Georgia, and the weekend after that is the Penn State HvZ thing. I'd rather not have that and this back to back, though it's feasible, so I'm all for the 24th.

This shit is pretty cash. Plain and simple.

I'm kinda leaning toward the 24th too. That will put a little bit of time between March war and this. We're gonna need some more interest though. As of now we've got like 6 people.

I've got 10 people thus far. I think we can do better then that. If you want to come to this let me know by Friday. That's when I'm making the call as to whether or not this is actually gonna happen. So if your interested in attending this, just come right out and say it.

Okay, let me know by Thursday if you can. I'm talking to the guy again on Friday and I want to have at least an idea of how many we can expect. I'd like to see about 30 people show up. The building looks huge so 15 per side is probably a good number. If we have around 20 people to show up, I'm pretty sure I can get the guy to have a few noobs show up from their area.

OK... I'm in for the 24th... I just have to tell my bosses I can't work that weekend, and I'll be all set. I'll also talk to a couple friends at school here, and see if they are interested in joining me for the road trip! This place looks awesome from those pictures, I can't wait...

EDIT: Also, was expecting some laser-tag-y arena thingy... was not expecting an abandoned tire warehouse, but it definitely looks cool.
