So yeah, I found this compact air compressor at Kmart a couple months ago.





I thought nothing of it. Then, a week or so ago, my dad came home with a solid state (I believe it's called) 12v battery, about 8 inches long. So a mini 12v battery. Well, these compressors (shown above) are powered by 12v batteries, which are in cars (duh), shown by the fact that there power source is a cigar AC input. Now, the problem with most 12v batteries, is that there to heavy, and there acid based. Well, this battery is small, weighs about 8 pounds, and is not acid based. And Acid based battery, when turned on it's side or upside-down, will destroy the battery, but it was not so in this case. So I hoped down to KMart and picked myself up one of these over the weekend, as well as a titan.

The titan was easy, all I did was slap an 8 shot RSCB on the top of it, take the front handle off, and glue the pump in place at the extended most position. Then, I took some tubing, and connected it to where the stock pump leads to (pics in the morning), and lead it to the outside of the shell. I attached a tire valve to the end of said tubing, making sure the tbuing was near the length of my fully extended arm.




Then, I test fit the compressor in a small shoulder pack.










All that's left to do is hook up the battery and a quick release switch for it. It was wired as so...

A practically (sort of) semi auto titan. Takes less then 3 second to fill the tank, and the RSCB provides for 8 shots. I'm happy with it. Will never be used in a war, I just wanted a way to power air guns other then HPA without having to pump, and I think I've succeeded. As for the Battery, I am looking into a way to buy them online, for there not easy to find as the size and non acid based way that mine is. But the whole price (including the titan) was around under $80.

Nice system overall. I don't know the war legal issues with the whole compressor thing, but I personally would be okay with a lower power air gun utilizing it, (big salvo or at2k or the like.) You may have to watch the pressure to make sure it doesn't get dangerously high too quickly though.

Yeah, that needs to be re designed. But as far as wars go, I never plan on using the titan or the compressor, as it would unbalance the game to much. It was just a for fun project.

Good that you are using a compressor for car tires, as they run at a pretty low psi, compared to bicycle tires.

Maybe you should just keep the pack on a bench at a war, filling up external airtanks (maybe even for a fee.)

I just think having a compressor strapped to your back (with an alkaline battery, which are no safer than lead acid car batteries) is a bit overkill.

Thats a really cool idea! It seems like a fun gun to fool around with, but you really need to replace the gauge, exploding titans doesn't sound fun.
The only bad thing about it is that if you were to use it at a war everyone there would know where you were. But you aren't so you shouldn't have any problems.

And you dad is a very good director.

Thanks, and yeah, I was thinking about putting a new gauge on it today. The other thing is I'm not letting anyone else use it, because I have all the timimg and shit right, which they haven't figured out yet. And it wasn't intended for war use, just to see if I could pull it off.

Are you retarded? This hobby is more then just for wars, it's for fun. Most people on the NIC do not attend wars, and are simply modders. So everyone that mods something and doesn't go to a war with it is wasting there money then? I think not.

I didn't mean it in a bad way but it seems that you said in your video that it was not meant for actuall use I think it is a waste only because you said you would never use it.

I'm a bit concerned. Your putting unregged air straight from a compressor into the valve of a nerf gun. And what are you controlling this with exactly? Timing? Sounds like a recipe for disaster when someone picks it up without you knowing and tries using it.

I think it's awesome. Overkill isn't always a bad thing. Just because it isn't war legal doesn't mean it's fun as hell to play with and show off to non-nerfers. Great job. This is what my 4k will eventually turn into.

I stated earlier that this is a hands off blaster. And yes, it's done by timing and looking at the gauge of the titan.
