But I would argue that with the right rig, you would pull better performance out of a single $200 card then 2 $100 cards. I mean, I play Bad Company 2 online with maxed out settings, and I am running a single GTX260Even though 5670's aren't the best cards, they're pretty good for the price if you buy 'em on Newegg. They can play most games maxed on 720p and have DX11 but since the GTX260, 280, 285, and Fermi have better performance, they're priced a lot higher and people may not want to pay like $200+ for a card.

A HD 5670 is $90 BTW, my friend just built a rig. However the ATI HD 4870 is better than a GTX260. And that one is half the price of a GTX260...But I would argue that with the right rig, you would pull better performance out of a single $200 card then 2 $100 cards. And honestly, for only $30 more, you can get the support that nVidia has. I've also never bought a DOA GPU with an nVidia chipset, but I've gotten several Radeon cards that came fucked up.
But really, at this point, its no longer about the GPUs. The new i7s or AMD 6 cores are about the only thing that will boost your performance, along with good solid memory. Really, if you have a memory setup with 2 sticks, take the one in slot 2 out. Memory is really where you get all your performance. So just upgrade that.
Yeah, again with the wall of text. nVidia fanboys (like me) will always argue against ATi, and most people I know who use an ATi card eventually switch to nVidia.

I'd like to see that, because I know from experience that Laptop specs are not only padded, but outright wrong. The biggest fault is in the graphic sections. They can put CHIPSETS in, but thats really not the same as a graphic card. So thus they will always run weird.Well, the new laptop I'm getting has an AMD Phenom Quad Core and an ATi Mobility Radeon HD 5650 1GB DDR3 with switchable graphics and that will be able to max games out at 768p (native res is 1366 x 768) for at least a few years. Right now, ATi has the advantage with the HD5xxx series but with the lower-ended nVidia Fermi/4xx cards coming out nVidia will probably start selling more cards.

And besides.... ANY GAME MAXED OUT AT 1080p for the next three years!
Yeah, nerfnrg, lets talk about games instead of how you can't count*. This is after all the PC gaming thread.
Alien Swarm? Kinda funny, because today I was playing online, and I join a game with someone by the name of Ubermensch, the name of a Nerfer on this site (I have no clue if he still goes on here or not), but still, Alien Swarm is free, and its a really good game. Very fun. And if you are like me and typically play Bad Company 2 or any game with a match that lasts longer than half an hour, you'd like it. I can play like 4-5 levels within that time. Its just a fun game. PLAY ALIEN SWARM!!
*A reference to the $135 dollar graphic card being half of the $160 graphic card. See? BustaNinja even sites his jokes. What a bad motherfucker.

To those who own a steam account and invites members on Nerf haven, beware. Stud Muffins has been trying to steal steam accounts. I believe he has successfully stolen 4, and he intends to continue. This is a fair warning, don't click / download / interact with this member or his messages.
On a brighter note, I've been playing Balloon Tf2. It's kind of like Tf2 on a pirate ship, it's an interesting mod.

Wow Merz, I explained this to you. I haven't stolen any, I am merely trying to regain my old account. I knew that Lucian had told you about this, so I went along with your little game.
Thanks for being a dick.

Brink looks interesting, but I feel like it won't be as "free movement" as they preach. There might be scenarios where you could jump off a roof and into a room....and that would be the only way off the roof. Maybe I'm just doubting the game, but I'll be mighty interested to see how it plays when released.

- If the laptop performance suck after the drop, Check if the fan in moving.

I honestly have a around $100 lined to my account and you want me to give it to you?
FYI by giving someone your steam account, you are giving them all your games you have paid for..... NO
The following link has a bunch of FREE games on steam provided that you already have steam downloaded.

Are you 12? This isn't a gameboy game in the playground. You can't really just "lend" people your steam account. Minus 5 points for being an idiot.would any body be willing to give me free steam games give me the username if so im trying to get in the gameing thing
In case you didn't get that, thats a no. Make your own gad dang steam account and get your own gad dang steam games. There are even free games. Alien Swarm is awesome and free. Also, there are super cheap games. I spent like $12 to get 3 games during the Effeminate steam sale this summer. Thus, you don't even need that much money to play steam games.
Honestly, this sounds like a fail hacker. Please, Weiner, just don't post here anymore.

I am ranked in like the top 2% of the world after 7 hours of guest passing, so I am probably pretty biased here :V
It's definitely the best RTS game out right now hands down. But the RTS genre and computer games in general is losing right now to console and console imitation (basically all of steam :V) games. eSports is also not very popular in North America as compared to Europe and Asia.
Single player is pretty awesome. The matchmaking is also really good though, even if battle.net2.0 has less features than the original from 1995...
