If any of you bought a Tek Six recently, you'll know that Z-man12's mod won't work on the redesigned turret. However, I devised a mod to help with the new turret.

You need:
* Tek Six turret
* hacksaw
* pliers
* rubber bands
* barrel material of your choice (preferably PETG)

First off, you take the turret out of the gun.

Secondly, you remove the pegs with a pair of pliers, (if you haven't already)

Thirdly, you cut the turret so it looks like this

except all the way around

Finally, you slap whatever barrel material you want in there. I haven't tried it but I recommend PETG since it's the most likely candidate to fit.

As a bonus:

I banded my gun!

Cutting the turret like you did isn't at all necessary. Just pry the turret halves apart and cut off the pegs.

Some newer turrets are just one solid piece. While I demonstrated this with an old turret, it's intended for the new turrets.

You butchered a turret for the sake of a write-up? Nice.

But all asshattery aside, I can see this being useful if the new turrets are indeed one piece. Although I have a feeling they're just glued more effectively. Try boiling water.

Although the new turrets are a bitch to replace, they are 2 pieces. But this is significantly easier.

And TantumBull: Hereticorp bought 2 new longshots for the sake of one write up.

Very nice. Once I get some better barrel material (besides dried up crayola markers), I'll definitely give it a shot.

Regarding the pegs, I just used a pair of needle-nosed pliers and twisted mine out. Fires a hell of a lot better that way than even my friend's "modded" Maverick, and that's without doing anything to the internals.

Also, the rubber band seems like it would actually cut down on the life-expectancy of the gun. I had a Tek-10 where the arm that goes from the slider to the back of the plunger actually snapped from there being too much strain on the thing while cocking the gun. While that's a different gun, its internal design is almost identical. If I were you, I'd reinforce that arm as soon as possible so it doesn't buckle or snap.

Tantum Bull and wing'd man: Thanks.

Jpec07: I'll get to it.
