this looks awesome i will definetly be there. but i was wondering if its fine if i leave a litle early?

No, it is definitely not alright to leave early. Get out of my house.

You can come and go as you please. Unless they have the craziest rule in the world.

I listed dusk as the end time because dusk is when the park closes. Most players generally leave before as exhaustion sets in.

Also, carpool spaces from Seattle and Kirkland are still available.

Holy ten mavericks batman!

One question, since you obviously are well armed, will you have enough stock darts as well? Streamlines in perticular.

Do we want flags or flagging tape? I have a red flag with pink tape and a blue flag with orange tape I can bring. They are not self-standing on hard ground, however (unless someone wants to make stands for a 1/2" PVC pole).

I also have a roll of pink flagging tape available.

At this point I am closed for rides. If you are absolutely desperate I might be able to find another car by Sunday, but it's doubtful and we've got one perfectly loaded car right now.

Usually you bring your own darts, but some people bring lots that you can borrow. I'm still a maybe, but I'm leaning towards bieng able to go.

I've got to say, in my experience of nerf wars, this is probably the most fun war I've attended.

Highlights
-Getting the chance to put the crossbow down and use a bunch of the guns that have been sitting in my drawers. The range limitation made an interesting equalizer and I rediscovered how much I love my blowgun.
-Experiencing such an organized war. I have to applaud Gunther for being so clear with game types and instructions. We wasted much less time this way.
-Oh yeah, the most awesome battleground ever. Can't forget that.
-Shooting someone right in the nuts, shouting out "Right in the penis!" and turning to notice someone was recording me. So much for being the mild-mannered one...

Lowlights
-The dick unpleasant man who told Micah he wanted to punch him in the face.
-Starting HvZ with half humans, half zombies. You know, the whole idea is for the zombies to start at a disadvantage. With a fifteen second respond to boot, there was essentially no way they could lose.

Awesome war, looking forward to more and seeing everyone again. Any chance we'll be getting some footage up?

Probably the most Effeminate war I've been to.

Highlights:

-The area we played in was the most perfect indoor nerfing scenario ever. There were mazes of tunnels on the ground floor you could sneak around in, multiple wide rooms with each having multiple access points, and all of that times the 3 floors we played in. It was just so perfect.

-The coherence of the this war was a great catalyst for the atmosphere we played in. We had much less time in between rounds, teams were well balanced, the dart retrieval system was awesome, I never felt like we were waiting too long, or any of the game types we played were stupid, and even when we got kicked out of our main area for a while, gunther had a separate area we could play in while some photographers got they're pictures of the fort

-Some random kids walked up to our staging area and were like " Hey what are you guys doing? Can we play?" +5 players for the entire day.

-In one of the king of the hill rounds, while everyone was on the bottom floor shooting it out, I went on the second floor with my magstrike, sprinted over to the enemy side, went down the stairs, and on my way back to my side shot three people in the back, tapped another guy out, and basically just cleared out the enemy side of the rooms.

-The zombie rounds were quite intense. While the humans were on the were top floor, you could hear the the zombies on the bottom floor howling and banging their heads foam noodles on the walls.

-Darth Freyr was a beast with his RSCB'd SNAP.

-Modded recons and magstrikes were perfect for this type of war. I never put them down.

With like 3 people as cameramen, we better get some good pics and videos up in this hizzle.

Edit: on the group photo it looks like cory is shooting Jake in the face with his LB. hehe.

I'm not going to lie, that war was sweet. There have been all these wars constantly posted in the Puget Sound aria. And sometimes I just don't feel like going to some of them. Then one day Micah sent me a text saying that there's a new Nerf war coming up, and that we should go. I didn't even feel like checking the topic. Later I finally did. Instantly I started trying to make sure I could go and see who else in my group was going. I was stoked for this war.

Here are some of my thoughts of the war.
Pros:
-Definitely the most organized war I've ever been to.
-Not stopping and looking at guns forever and waisting time that should be spent shooting each other.
-Playing new game types like Golden Gun.
-The scoring system where when you die your team loses a death, and then going back in to fight. That really helped, like if some one gets like five kills with the magstrike right in the beginning then your team isn't completely screwed.
-Having the head bands to show who's on what team.
-Seeing one of my friends that goes camping there apparently every Columbus day weekend. And having his brother join in on the action.
-Not loosing to many darts because it was basically indoors, and we had like a million people looking for darts.
-Getting some sweet kills. Can't really remember to many of them. But they sure were sweet.

Cons:
-Having to stop using my Split Fire. But I understand that it's to strong for close quarters.
-Having my stock hornet that I've never used never shoot all the barrels correctly.
-As Cory said, we should have had started with five zombies instead of half the team. And then maybe to even it out have the humans have to get both of the bunnies.
-When I drop kicked my Hornet in the hope to increase ranges, I totally destroyed my toe.
-All the camera people getting in our way.

Again, great organized war. Good job Gunther.

I guess you have some heavy duty industrial strength toilet paper holders. Do they advise you to wear eye protection when changing rolls?

My TTG mod.

Whole album.

Thanks for the great war everyone.

Any background music suggestions for the video?
Ridiculous suggestions, of course.

Nice album. And Flaming Hilt, where you the camera man with the white shirt towards the end of the war?

And may I suggest Whispers in the Dark By Skillet for the video song.

Indeed I was.

Enjoy.

Admittedly this is the first documentary-type video I've made of a Nerf War. Polite suggestions always appreciated.

The University require we call our events "Matches..." sorry. I'd rather call them that then call them "Wars" and not be able to play at all.

Awesome video. My favorite part was in the beginning where you got jake and cory doing the high-five windmill for like 2 minutes. priceless.
