So, Brian, Tommy, you and I vs. all. I'm down.Onto a better note, I hope we can fit in a couple +bow VS. all rounds. I know this seems quite exclusive to the +bow owners attending, but I kind of like the fact of being overpowered by population within the team. Its not like I need the challenge , though, I already suck as it is.

That fall was embarrassing I may say. I saw like 2 +bows and I just had to back away as quickly as possible!

AnyaSeijin, I have your darts made if you were wondering. They're clear tipped with 1/4" slingshot ammo weighted. We won't be confused as to what darts are whose between us because mine have a glitter tip, so I hope this solves that issue. Also, if you run out of those, feel free to dig into my stash. I've got dart making down to a science!
That sounds awesome. I owe you sometime.
Can't wait to meet all of the new faces. I'm curious how it feels out here compared to Cali. Every time I've talked with the Easties that have flown, they've always said its not a huge difference, but its different (I guess mostly do to the fact that 'geddon always seems to be on the hottest day of the freakin year...)

Don't worry so much about what other people will allow. Throw your own wars and kick your friends' asses until they all want one.

I had the best time I've ever had nerfing at this war. Quick highlights:
- Nerfing with everyone again!
- Team +bow dominating
- DtC with Effeminate balloon-age
- The COBRA blowing the barrel off due to all the darts we crammed in
- Team powerball was simply awesome and the best way to end the day
- Wingman is quickly becomming everyones new favorite round
- "I'm pinned!!!", "Another nut shot on Merz", "Hey I win the pool!", among other hilarious things yelled that day
- Ryan with his magical +bow. We finally got him to admit he uses magic to make his +bow superior! Hah!
- Liter with the new Nerf sword, and the many blocks he got with it
- Merz, the unluckiest owner of a +bow, but that st9k works wonders!
- Bunstock and the recon rushes...I can't wait to see him with Muttonchops at ChANO3. Tandem recons ftw!
- Tommy, Matt, Xavier, Kane, and the rest nerfing with skill and above all style!!!

Highlights
-Dominating in similar fashion as always
-DTC rounds were fun. I've learned it's impossible to win against a Cobra either on defense or attack.
-Cobra then failing after 76 darts in the core
-Powerball was fun again. We should do it earlier in the day for Chano.
-Wingman w/ Merzlin = untouchable. I don't even think either of us were shot that round.
-"I'm pinned" made me lol
-Brian's pot winning shot. I'll have to buy you lunch sometime, Brian
-Liter with his Effeminate Nerf sword. First time I've seen someone take out an entire team with a Melee weapon.
-Powerball worked great with melee weapons. I think that should be the new standard. It makes scoring a lot more difficult and I believe makes the game more intense.
-Blocking shots with Brian's Manta.
-Meeting Xavier, he was a cool guy.
-Nerfing with the "Chicago Mob", fun as always.
-Everyone's enthusiasm about the upcoming Chanos.
-Team +bow was just way too unfair even if we were outnumbered by double.
-The NIC round was awesome, just because I didn't even play on the NIC team, and I led the noobs to victory.
-Brian##, first and only nerfer to eliminate me from a round in Oak Lawn. Mad Props. That was a great round.
Whenever we have the next showdown, maybe consider moving locations. That park has a high traffic area and the random kids wanting to play gets annoying. Especially the n00blets who have zero respect for anything. I thought I was going to see some noobs get put down by both Brians.
Josh? What happened to you? I thought you were coming? Now to think about it, none of us had your phone number. Well, hope to see you at Chano.

Speaking of hits, nooblets don't take hits. And they call phantom shots. No wonder I go melee. I can feel stock ammo tagging me usually, and they were just all, "ISN'T THAT A HIT?" Hell, Matt's streamlines I noticed hitting me so I'm calling shenanigans but whatever.
*sigh*
I think we need to set up protocol for random additions. And as a reminder, it sucks but we can't leave our stuff out in the open like that when the jerks come a runnin'. I actually think those guys'll keep an eye out for us now on the weekends. I know some of them were looking to get contact info for the next time we were out there.

Between Rounds

L -R : Xavier, Demon Lord, Merz, Liter (kneeling), Snake, Ryan, Matt (kneeling), Tommy Gunn, Kane
Those are the only pics I have. We were so hardcore that day that we forgot to take pics. Anyway, I eagerly await liter's video of the core!

Pros:
- Nerfing with the Chicago Mob again
- Defend the Core was more fun then I had ever expected
- No CTF that I played in (overplayed in my book)
- Seeing Kane's creative homemade NERF guns
- Having my Longshot's new ammo actually work...mostly
- Having my Bow n' Arrow function
- Hanging out with a bunch of awesome people
- Seeing a DtC score with a balloon sword...no joke!
Cons:
- Not having back up plans for when the large group of kids wanted to play
- Having to be a douche to kids who had no respect for anyone

"I think I forgot to grab a nerf BLASTER.
Clearly, it had been long enough. A few weeks later, we were back in Oak Lawn. Third in the series of Snake hosted events and it was game time. Once more we reported out to Centennial Park for a day of foam, fun, and most importantly, the Fight.
It was a turnout of maybe 9-10 rotating people we had ourselves set for the day. Games included Team Deathmatch, wingman, CTF, Defend the Core, and Team Powerball. Come to think of it, spanning that out from 10-4 or 5 really explains why I pass out for 11 hours afterward. But more on that later.
What this day saw was the birth of a +bow vs. all round, the strength of the marauder, and awesome of dart blocks. Minimal injuries, give or take a nutshot or two, but no one bled and no one had to be carted off to an ER... this time. Some random people even joined in from watching us, and they knew what was up. Stefans, Captain Slug, they knew the talk. Walking was a whole 'nother matter, but we all start somewhere.
Learning my lesson from the freak accident at the last game, I had to pack a paintball mask. It protected the temple and considering I got hit in the face at one point during the day, it was worth it. It really is a bit extreme, but for my own peace of mind I'm ok with that. As for the rest of my equipment I was packing a magstrike, my bbb, a crossfire buckler, and the "Wicked MC" (see previous blog) to rotate in and out over the course of the day. The bbb was inconsequential though, because truth be told I had more fun running around with a high ROF blaster and melee weapon all day. Reports say I took out an entire team. Dare I say it, the first round where I ran straight at the other team and jumped in the middle of them swinging, tagging at least two of them before getting hit totally made the day for me....
...UNTIL I started getting dart blocks here and there. The wider surface area of the marauder definitely helps if you can guess near where the dart's going to fly, and on at least a couple of occasions I managed to block a wayward shot, to follow up with a charge. If not the Wicked MC, my buckler picked up the slack. It was almost as if there was nothing the marauder couldn't do. During Team Powerball someone tried to drop a point into the bucket and I swatted it out. If they tried to outrun me, the marauder had enough length to compensate and I still got a hit. It was a good day for the N-Force.
While defend the core with my "Decoy" play style was a lot of fun, Team Powerball was pretty much how we closed out the day. An Effeminate struggle of sorts between two +bow'd and sprightly teams. Running and dodging, getting out of the way of melee weapons, being thankful the other team didn't know the "Flying V", and getting a "300" style sword hit was a nice capper.
For future reference, 15 mins. may be a bit too long for DTC rounds. Depending on the # of people maybe, but for our size events 5 minutes may be just as good.
Just some quick etiquette notes to anyone who sees us on location:
1) DO NOT start grabbing at stuff if you don't know whose it is. That's just being a douche. And you may be unlucky and not know where it's been. I'm talking to you, random passersby!
2) DO NOT shoot at other people between rounds. Be nice.
3) Might wanna recheck your strategy if you're yelling "FALL BACK!" all day long.
4) Why, oh why do you charge at me with swords when I have a pistol? Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one that ever watched "Raiders of the Lost Ark."
That's it for now!

When there are more people I like doing longer rounds, like 4-20 and 15 minute Powerball and DTC rounds, just because picking teams can be a bitch when you have a large attendance.

Actually Ryan, I never even noticed if we did 4/20 during either. Was it just unlimited respawn in the time limit?
