So I've had a few people ask me about polycarbonate barrel spacers for turreted blasters.

I figured I would share these with the community if anyone was interested. Adjust hole size according to your barrel material. Popular barrel material OD's:

OMC's PETG (thick or medium): .572
1/2" Polyester: 5/8"
1/2" CPVC: 5/8"
Brass: Self explanatory.

Dart Tag Blaster
SuperMaxx1500
Airtech2000
Firefly
Lanard Quadshot
Airtech 3000
SuperMaxx3000 (Yellow or Green)
Airtech 4000
Arrowstorm
Tetrastrike

I cut them from 1/4" material. If there is a certain blaster someone would like barrel spacers for, I'll see what I can do.

Enjoy.

Why aren't you a contributor yet? You're not as awesome as Captain Slug, but dammit, you're trying.

Do you have a Dremel? If so, you can make them. A drill is nice but not necessary.

If enough people are interested, I may make a bunch. If I do, I'll post it in the trading thread.

I'm interested in SM1500's (about 4 potentially) and AT2k's (maybe just a couple).

I have a dremel and could probably do it myself, but you sort of have a "reputation" for this sort of clean stuff.

Also, I didn't really intend to start purchasing polycarbonate any more than calcium carbonate... coral calcium is the miracle cure after all! But seriously, I don't even know where to buy the kind of materials you crazy modders come by. :)

Could you just trace these off your computer screen onto a piece of paper and they'd work?

Print them out on paper and they'll be the correct size. Just download that file. It's a word document.

I know that's what you're supposed to do, but I have no printer, and was just wondering if I could trace off my screen. Thanks, though.

Since every computer screen is different, it is doubtful that you could just trace it off. You could go to a public library though. They typically have printers for open use.

That or get a ruler and open the document up and try to get it so everything is to scale on your screen, and then trace it.

Well Ryan I am very intrested in a few spacers. But if and when you offer these for the public (which would be awesome!!1!1!!1) will custom holes be applicable? I could use quite a few custom AT2K and SM1.5K spacers for my barrels.

DTB spacer plans would be awesome... on second thought, I can make them myself.
Not for me, but I think several people might like Doomsayer spacers (with the center cut out).

I'd definately like both of those... How about a rf20? Just if you have time... I know someone made them once but can't find it.

I'm pretty sure it was oodalumps with his RF20.

SGM made Doomsayer spacers, but if I remember correctly he just roughly sketched some out and whipped them up. No perfection, but at least they worked well.

Glint, I appreciate you trying to help, but assumptions are no good for anyone. The only ''rough'' spacer I made was the first one. I made one for Lt. Stefan, and I made a wooden one for myself, and they were both measured out and made very well. Nothing rough about them.

Sorry, Ryan, for the distraction from your thread.

EDIT to Glint below: It's no big deal. I may have not even posted about Lt. Stefan's.

Problem is I don't have any of those blasters. I can make templates for the RFDG, since I'm holding Zorn's hostage.

I'll work on that tonight.

Ah, pardon me. I was only aware of the rough one you made. I wasn't doubting your ability to make them, I just didn't know you had made multiple measured-out and well-made ones.

Out of curiosity, did you find that the center points of the holes were usually a nice and easy number of inches away from the center axis point? When I designed my 2K spacers, I found that the center points for the holes were exactly .5" away from the center axis point. I was just wondering if this was true for all of the nerf turrets.

Also, do you think you could tell me how far the center points of the holes are from the center axis point on the 1.5K spacers so I can make a spacer in CAD? I don't have access to calipers right now.

For the 2k turret, I also get 1/2" in between the center of the turret and the center of the holes for the barrels.

And for the 1500 turret, I got the same measurement as Bob did, 45/64".

As for the CAD drawings, don't bother, it's been already done. Download Here.
All these measurements were done with digital calipers.

Do you think you could make an at3k barrel spacer? And is there a drill bit that is the exact OD of petg?

There's a thread in the trading section for that, either that, or just pm me.

I know the dimension. I just wanted to know if there is some special drill bit you could use for .572. it's a iittle bigger than a 9/16" drill bit, and a little smaller than 19/32. However, I've never seen a drill bit that big come in increments smaller than 1/16.

I believe he said he used a 9/16" bit and then just carefully filed it out until it fit.
