ok i just purchased a brand new nitefinder.
I opened it up, did standard AR removals and added a crossfire spring.
I'm pretty sure i did everyhting right, but for some reason, when i cock it, it never catches. I think it might have something to do with the little box thing near the end of te plunger, right above the trigger, but it looked all hte way in to me.
Help!

Internal pics would help a lot.

Make sure you didn't put the catch in upside down. That's all the advice I can give you without pictures or more info.

That little box thing is the catch. Im pretty sure that that's your problem. I would recomend re-opening your gun and looking to see if It's on right. Use the internals dictionary to see a correct picture and compare it to yours. Like stuck said, internal pictures of your gun would help.

I know exactly what's wrong. It happens to me a lot. The notch inside the gun (Where the spring rests and where the catch rests at the end of the plunger tube) has the spring in the way. Open it up again, and move the crossfire spring farther down the plunger rod by twisting it. It should work now.

You didn't reinforce the catch spring. The catch on the plunger rod has a slight slant to it, so when you increase spring power you have to make sure to reinforce the catch spring and sand the catch on the plunger rod flat.

If that isn't it, take pics. Otherwise it would be really hard to guess what it is.
