For some reason, I have trouble making really good single weight stefans. I really can't buy anything right now because I have no money in my paypal account. I was wondering if 1/2 inch PVC takes stock taggers well. Also, I was wondering if front loading a tagger into a CPVC pipe is better than rear loading a tagger in a PVC pipe. Thanks again NerfHaven Community. :)

By the way, the gun I'm mainly using is a couplered CPVC nitefinder.

1/2" PVC will take Tagger foam well, but not tagger heads. If you use CDTD's, they'll work fine, but that's pretty much a stefan, and requires BBs/slingshot ammo, etc.

If all you have is 1/2" PVC, you can muzzle-load it, up to the dart head.

Sched 80 1/2" CPVC will take tagger (and suction-cup Micro darts) perfectly, muzzle, ramrodded or breech-loaded.

No, PVC fits stock darts, head and all. Regular old muzzle loading sched 40 CPVC, which fits stock foam, up to the dart head. CPVC is your best bet for the NF.

What I always go by as a general rule of thumb is, if it is a spring powered gun, use cpvc (namely 1/2"). If the gun is powered by an air tank such as the Big Blast, use pvc (again 1/2").

Stock Taggers will fit in 1/2" cpvc with a little twisting of the dart.It is a tight fit, and the head of the dart will not fit in the barrel. As other have said, most anything will fire out of 1/2" pvc, usually the barrel is loose enough around the dart to allow for front loading and letting the dart fall down the barrel but breeches are usually faster.

I would say use 17/32" brass for springers. Use PVC with the suction cup darts, if you use PVC.

I just remember answering the same barrel question here. The salient points are:

Short form: depends on what you're shooting: micros, streamlines, stefans all get different recommendations.

If your using CPVC with stock darts without a PVC sheath that covers the dart head, the foam will rip, rendering the dart useless.

Just use a short, (about dart length) CPVC barrel and front load it.
