Basically everything ahead of the Longshot trigger internally had to be removed the make room for the Recon, including a little bit of the bolt sled. Then I just glued(lots and lots of glue) the gray part of the recon to the LS and technically that's all holding the Recon in place but its very sturdy with no wobble at all. I used an old Recon rear cover(its longer then the new cover) so I could put a Nite Finder spring inside so the Recon has two springs and I did all the other normal Recon mods, restrictor removal and e-tape to help compress stock spring.

The Recon in foreward position. Getting that cover on the back of the the Recon was the biggest pain in the ass because the two shell being together left no room to get it on and screw the screws in.

The LS is cocked by pulling the stock back then forward. I glued a coupler on to the front of the plunger tube and added a Home Depot spring. It shoots over 100 feet now but I am not happy with this setup. I used a hanger attached to the plunger then attached to the stock. But when its cocked the hanger sticks out the back until fired and I'm affraid I might bump and bend the hanger. I might change it to cpvc with a T fitting on the end.

The black part between the gray part of the Recon and the LS is just a piece of DVD case. Thats what I use to fill in gaps on my guns. I just wanted to hide the side of the Recon and make it look clean. I still have to smooth out some glue and paint it. Normally I don't make posts, I just say go to my blog but I received a request so here you go. Enjoy.

Really clean, and I love the way the paint matches. How did you get that black cover on?

This is such a great use of a recon!

Does anyone else find it awesome how all of a sudden Recons have stopped being their own guns and have become a way to ciip other guns instead? I think its great! All of our worthless recons now have a use!!!

Anyways!

Great job on the mod!

Very clean. I love how everything lines up in there, too. I also love how the two barrels look identical. If you normally don't post, please rectify that. Good use of stray plastic to cover the gap - too bad I threw out all my DVD cases, else I'd start scavenging them - great idea!

Nice idea, singling a LS for power then attaching a Recon for RoF. I think I definitely prefer trying this instead of a front gun integration. This might sound stupid but do you know if there are blue recons? I haven't been able to find any.

Anyone else noticed how the yellow LS appears smaller than the blue LS?

There are red recons, which is about it.

I think that because the yellow LS is a little farther away than the blue LS, it seems smaller, but it's not.

Wait I was looking at the gun again and does the front gun still fit on? I don't think so but just checking.

I think singled LS's are a waste, but you've done a nice job. I had always thought about putting a recon on an LS, but I couldn't do it the way I wanted and still have the LS be mag-fed. I think doing this way is about as good as it gets for combining the two. Again, really cool.

That, right there, is the cleanest integration I've ever seen on this site. Excellent work.

Right now, with how you have your gun this mod isn't very useful, because the singled half of the gun doesn't shoot far enough considering it's rof for it to be really worth it. If you replace the barrel though and get the singled LS to shoot how a singled ls should, this would be a great integration.
But anyways, it looks amazing, and is obviously very clean. Props for that.

Amazing job, by far the cleanest intergration of it's kind.
I had a similar idea, but pytiing the recon upside down, and have it like shotgun pump. But you did this first! So you win.

I think I've seen someone mod it so that the clip loads in sideways, like the raider. I don't have a link to that mod though, it might not even have a write-up or a thread.

How would the ammo load?

The LS would be carbined. Then it could fit and be clipped.

Jesus Christ that's clean. I think it would be cool if you didn't have to single it, but I don't see any other way to do it so you wouldn't have to. Great job.

I would have to single the longshot. In almost any recon intergration you would have to single it.
