The Nerf Tank, Flame Thread, No I Have Pictures Its Almost Done

So I finally started building my tank I had planned to build since last year. All it needs are wheels, a turret and a machine gun mount which I will finsh in the next few weeks. It will not be that mobile so I entend to use it not as a MBT, but as a support/transport vehicle. I have recently added storage and push handles (It works like a flinstones car). I have the hatchs and Im using part of a big barrel as a turret. The wheels will be from a shopping cart or I will buy some.
The beast:

Here are some previous topics that relate to my design.
The first armoured warfare article by mutuhaha http://www.isoaker.c...ed_warfare.html
My first post explaining my concept: http://www.isoaker.n.../topic3686.html
This article mentions more of my concepts: http://www.isoaker.n...=cavalry#p32482
It has no permanant guns so it will be useful for anything, water guns, nerf and paintball.

I'm not sure which is more offensive... Your utter lack of signature line decorum regarding anally raping children, or your construction skills.
You should change your sig.
No self-respecting homeless guy would so much as take a dump in this wretched box. If you'd ever been to a nerf war, or even thought very hard about it, you'd know that even apart from the fact that this thing would get you laughed off the field, it would be un-fun and stupid. Also: your signature fucking sucks. If I were you, I'd delete this whole post, delete your sig, and beg for mercy.
What the fuck is wrong with you two? You're both being complete dicks for no fucking reason. Sure, his sig sucks, but what the fuck does that have to do with this thread? Nothing.
Rork, he obviously intends to use this locally, probably with a group of friends who are excited about trying out this new "tank". They could develop game modes around it, and it could open up alot of new possibilities for nerf / paintball / waterguns / whatever. He obviously wouldn't bring this to any real wars, and the fact that you even brought it up is ridiculous.
He spent alot of time on this. Who cares about how it looks? He probably didn't have access to good materials, and made the best of what he had. I think it's pretty impressive that he made that out of a bunch of scrap wood.
This isn't a concept thread where you can bitch about the practicality of nerf tanks - He actually posted something he created. He came here with something unique, and you both shit down his throat. Fuck you.

Thanks for backing me up. I made the tank just using old wood. I had to improvise some walls.

I was thinking shopping cart wheels, free too

Only if you steal them, which is wrong, and full of douchebaggery.

Anywho, I did something sort of like this, but I used a drier box and we Flinstoned it.

So exactly how practical is this?
Not at all.
There is no base or chassis, which means the design can take very limited vertical stress. The moment he props it on wheels, it's going to fail.

Edit: Mostly for your reasoning on your signature than your idea. Get some inflated tires at a hardware store, they should probably have axles there too. I don't see why you didn't just build this over a wagon, the slats come out so you could attach everything to the slats and slide the pieces in, more mobile. I do like the look of it so far, reminds me of a worse version of the makeshift homes in the great depression.

Hey Zorn's Lemma, we already stated that this is no place for debating the practicality of a nerf tank. Go get your self a 27 year ban.
Let me draw an analogy of what you just did to something we can all comprehend, singled titans.
Guy: "Check out my singled titan! I know I can't use it at wars, but isn't it cool?"
Me: "Your titan is missing a pump. Even if you did use it, it wouldn't work."
You: "Yo man, you can't point out it's missing a pump, since it wouldn't be used at a war anyways! I hope you get banned."

Shrimp, you are correct. However, if you saw this headed toward you and trying to kill you, I think that you would call it a tank.Tanks need treads therefore that is not a tank. Sorry.

Onto what I want to say.
Very nice creation, I believe that took a lot of effort considering so many different boards screwed/nailed together to create it.
My only question about the tank/box is why is there a lock on the outside instead of the inside? Just something I noticed because wouldn't you want to have the lock on the inside to protect yourself if you were hiding in there or something?

Reminds me of the boat I built of a TV, but I digress.
You'll need wheels. Best bet for that would be lawnmower or wagon wheels. They have excellent pavement travel qualities, and are almost equally good on unpaved ground.
Also, it looks top-heavy, and the earlier comment about weight support is correct. That may not even hold the 16 pound Vulcan, let alone some idiot, trying to prop himself up in it, should he so decide from his boredom.
I don't care if it's impractical, I don't care if it looks bad, this is unique and worth posting. You did good. You can do better, but you did good.
(Besides, anything can be worked into someone's war, somewhere. I often have siege battles in my cousin's house's main hallway, using an office chair as a mobile gun.)

It reminds me of the clubhouse from the little rascals, all you need is a "He-Man Woman-Hater's Club" sign and you're set.
I remeber that movie... Oh what great days.
