hello

I went to Lowes just a minute ago to buy some 1/2 in CPVC pipes, but all they had were PVC pipes. I here people all the time say, "CPVC pipes" and you would think Lowes would have some, but they don't. Please help me. Thanks

CPVC is more rare than PVC. Lowes normally has it. It seems like you were just there at the wrong time.

You may also be looking in the wrong place. The Lowes where I am has CPVC a couple aisles away from the PVC.

I don't mean to be a dick, but isn't that an obvious solution to your problem? How hard can realizing that you could go to another store be?

My home depot doesn't have CPVC and I don't think many others do too.

I find my cpvc at Osh try there. And it is very rare at Lowes and Home Depot.

what section do you look at? They don't even carry it.

If I am not wrong it is the same aisle as the copper tube is in.

Since no one's giving an actual location, if you are in a store that does happen to carry CPVC then it will be in the Plumbing section. Many stores have the pvc and copper set in the hardware section far away from plumbing.
In the generic lowes store layout (at least of the four in western new york) plumbing is in the left rear, and CPVC is in the back most isle.

I've always gotten my CPVC from ACE Hardware and is my current supplier.

What is so rare about CPVC in lowes or home depot or anywhere? I've found CPVC in every ACE,Lowes, and Home Depot in my town even in the little 400 sq. ft. Speir ACE they had CPVC.

What are you talking about, this is the first time I have ever heard someone say there hardware store(s) sell CPVC. CPVC is not rare in the slightest. If you really need some find a Do It Best near where you live they always have it.

What? No it isn't. Gray PVC conduit is found in the electrical section. CPVC is a plumbing only item.

True but some employees can be dumb as shit. Also here's a lowes link it will tell you if any stores have CPVC and after you pop up results you can have it delivered.

And why it said CPVC on the aisle marker.

It might be misplaced.

But I did see a topic about CPVC in the elctrical section awhile back, maybe on HQ or FU.

CPVC it usually near the steel pipe and the insulators. It's also near the PEX tubing. but yeah since my local Lowes has the general plumbing isles near the electrical isle. So you might want to check it out again.

More than that, I used to work at Home Depot. And as a homeowner, I spend PLENTY of time at both Lowes and Home Depot. However, I cannot account for the sign you saw. I don't know.

Yeah I agree with that. It can often take going and asking at least 5 employees to find a simple yet slightly uncommon material (such as FBR)
