The only thing I didn't like was you forgot to do youtube comments at the end. Otherwise, great job. Oh, and Groove only made one your mom joke. I think... it got kinda hard to tell who was who.

Pokemon is good, ten minutes of Pokemon on a Nerf based podcast is bad:

The next one requires more Nerf!!

You guys delved a little bit on re-barreled RFDG's this time (maybe it was number one), and I think it would be cool if you guys had a little debate about legality and domination issues, and talk about times you've played with/against one. That would make for a very interesting segment. Totally get FA and VACC on there.

Conversation progresses as:

FA: "I like it because it dominates the entire field, and expounds upon my might."
VACC: "I dislike the RFDG because it dominates my field."

I'd recommend some segments on the origins of nerf in select parts of the country/world, with different guests

It would be fun to hear some of the old-timers tell old war stories. But seriously, I haven't seen any histories of the hobby anywhere, and this podcast seems like a good format to tell that story.

Your use of quotation marks is curious. It's kinda aggrivating when someone speaks on your behalf and attributes to you opinions which you do not share.

Carmina Burana: O Fortuna = Effeminate win

Couple of ideas though, primarily if there's any way to turn off the clicky noise that the computer makes when you click the mouse, do so. Also, try to hit a debateable topic that's going on, it's a lot easier to hear something debated and to make a decision than watching a forum board for updates.

I second the "war stories" idea, that might be....interesting, to say the least.

Sorry for ducking out early, recording crue; the essay I've been working on is pretty much dicks.

I really enjoy what I managed to stay through, there was definitely some quality stuff in that two-hour MP3 file. I'm looking forward to both hearing the end bits I missed and the final product.

I dunno if the final product will be up later tonight, and I don't want to rush Joe, but to whet your appetite here was tonight's cast:

Mr_BadWrench
Twitch
Jedijoe9
Ice Nine
Groove

A good group. Shame Crankymonky couldn't make it.

Episode three is completed and can be found (along with our other two episodes) here:

http://foamtalknerf.podomatic.com/

It's the longest of the three episodes we have recorded, but it is jam-packed with nerfy content. I think we're establishing a fairly good rhythm and things are definitely tightening up on the technical side. It was alot of fun to record and hopefully it will be fun to listen to also. I know some people have requested shorter podcasts, but the 1.5 hour podcast is kind of a standard sweet spot and I think it works really well-- Especially considering how little we get truly off topic.

I'm also testing out a new hosting site. The benefit to this one is that it should be easy to download, stream, or subscribe to in iTunes. At the same time, it's got some statistical analysis going on behind the scenes so we can get a better idea of how many people are actually downloading and listening to these podcasts.

A couple show notes:

1. The tank I was talking about can be seen here
2. The e-mail for the contest is foamtalknerf at gmail dot com

As always all feedback is welcome.

Enjoy!

The tank thing is pretty cool, at first I though it would be a link to the thread that was here not too long ago.

I'll edit this post after I've listened to the podcast...

As an addendum to my rant about my dealing with UC administration, I wish to supplement my rant with a small portion I forgot to include.

One of the more frustrating points when dealing with Dean Dan Cummings was when he brought up Virginia Tech in the meeting, as though our group and others like it were in some way partly to blame.

His decision to do so is simply shameful; to associate our harmless hobby with something so terrible. For god's sake, we would have been lucky if Mr Cho has brought a Nerf gun to campus. If only he'd brought a Nerf gun to campus. There would have been shedding of neither blood nor tears. The sounds of gunfire and woe would have been replaced with the sounds of laughter echoing through the halls.

I apologize for the added supplement; in dealing with the UC administration, I've found a few things to be simply amazing. The decisions and reasons for banning kids from playing with toys on campus has been quite heartbreaking. I hope that the other nerfing groups that play on university campuses are able to avoid the same abuse the UC club received.

On a less dour note; Groove, they really should have you back on to share more war stories.

Mr. Badwrench, will the rednecks be allowed to use shotgunned Titans at the Rednecks Vs. Zombie format?

I like how you guys added the war stories into the time. But on the note of the "doomsayer" the gun intimidating, but I faced at least three of them at Massacre 4, not that much to be afraid of. It's a springer, thus meaning slow darts, which I was dancing from. but it's HOW YOU USE the gun. like I probably was more effective with my near-stock DTB than one of the midgets with a "doomsayer" [/rant]

But you should have a Candian on the podcast <_<

That was possibly my favorite podcast yet. The war stories really made me want to go to more wars to experience my own awesome moments.

On a side note, I don't think you should have said how to ruin the hobby, because there's probably some dick out there who'd do it. Though I'd have to question why they'd listen that far into a nerf podcast and the go ruin the hobby. Still, good job on the show.

I recently competed in a student run Assassins game, and you are right. It really does go everywhere. I was walking to a doctor's office, and just looking around, I saw many people with Nerf guns, just when walking about 7 blocks. Its crazy, because it truly does go everywhere, and it is a bit scary. Also having been to indoor college campus wars, they are harmless. Assassins leads to people stalking others. It stops becoming a game, and becomes just shit, when you have people hindering you from getting to work, or to school, whereas innocent college wars are simply, like you said, keeping people out of trouble.

I really enjoyed this episode, and Twitch, I respect your pink blaster so much.

And now that I finished it... the NIB war sounds so cool... I want to do that so much now.
