Alright, So Due to some requests I'll be posting a Write up for my Breech on my Big Rad Bow Dubbed Red Star Breech.

So what you'll need:
Posted Image
1/2 CPVC about 5-6 inches
3/4 CPVC about 4-5 inches
Pipe Cutter
1/2 - 3-4 Coupler
1/2 coupler
E-Tape
Dremel/Hacksaw

Alright so here's the project:
Posted Image
What you'll need to do is get about 5 inches of 3/4 inch Cpvc,
Create a Box such like this: about 1/2 inch above the bottom of the pipe.
Posted Image
Cut that out with a Dremel/Hacksaw
Add that 1/2-3/4 Coupler to the bottom of the pipe you just cut like this:
Posted Image
Now take your other pipe and whatever length you cut your 3/4 pipe at add 1 inch to it and cut like so
Posted Image
Add E-tape in Different places to create Tight seals.( This is not needed, You only Need a layer at the bottom to create a seal.) Like so:
Posted Image
Throw that onto your BBB you just modded or any other 1/2 CPVC'd modded gun and you will be ready to Nerf another day!

Post any questions that you have!

It Can be. You only need the One at the bottom. I added so much So It wouldn't fall out so easy.

Edit: If I feel bored within the next half hour I'll go outside and Paint it. Either: Red,Black,Gold, Or Silver. I might just have to make some more of these.

Double Edit: Totally Forgot it was Extremely Dark out-side, I'll probably paint tomorrow.
Thanks again everyone for the Feedback and Support.

Its a lot easier to use 1/2 thinwall instead of 3/4. I would know, I made one 5 months before you did.

+1 :P
Yea, I also heard Thin Wall Works better, But due to the fact the last time I saw it was in Washington. I'm going back there for that. Also, I love walking two blocks to my ACE and back with a 10 Foot pipe. :D Also, My ACE doesn't carry Brass, Just Copper. Well, I haven't check my other ACE(Yes, We have two.) But Either Way, This is a easy,sort-a Quick, Mod.
This is for people who just need a breech and don't want to go buy brass. Normally anyone who is heavy into modding has these items laying around.

I'm really liking this design. I just happen to have the right materials as of now, and can obtain more very easily. I will see if I can post pics once I construct one of these.

I might do things a little differently on mine, but we'll see.

Darn, well i'm a little late, but you can always see this tomorrow:
Well I don't have a dremel, and I don't have a 1/2 to 3/4 CPVC coupler ,but I did have some weird "IPS" pipe, it's like thin walled PVC which has the same OD as regular PVC...

Kinda jackin' your thread here but just incase.....
CPVC pipe, "IPS" pipe, 1/2'' CPVC coupler and 1/2'' PVC coupler

Put that back end into any gun you'd like and you've got yourself a "breech."
P.S. Thanks for the inspiration

So you pull the CPVC forward and then load the dart in the back of it? I might be instrested in buying one of these. Depends on shipping.

Yup, I just have to try out some stefans.
I might mind a someone that's interested in trying out one of these for me(i.e. I'd send them a free breech to try) But I'll look around, I was thinking about 5$ shipping, Doubt it would be that high, that was just a generic shipping thought. I'd have to weigh it and everything.

Or, If a generous member would be willing to send me a sample of stefans they made, that would be awesome.

How airtight is that. It looks like it might decrease range.

Well if you had the supplies/tools to make it, I don't think you'd pay $5 for one of those, especially when you can get 10' of 3/4'' CPVC and 10' of 1/2'' CPVC with the couplers and everything for $5. Anyways, (i'm not sure if this works on your breech) but for the one I posted, you can just load a stefan (load as in: open the breech, put a dart in, and close the breech. No need to put the stefan into the 1/2"CPVC before closing) and close it up, as for the seal, it's just like any couplered gun. Sorry if I'm kinda jackin' your thread again, it felt as if I was sharing a write up when I was posting this.

I made something similar, though I put it on a LBB. It had e-tape one the 1/2" cpvc so it would fit in 3/4" cpvc, so there are no couplers.
EDIT: I have stefans that fit perfectly in 1/2" cpvc, you can PM me if you're interested.

All right. This is a few days late, but its up. My version of the breech uses similar materials and is kind of like Watari's breech ( a few posts above mine). I had to sand the inside end of the 3/4' pvc to wedge the cpvc coupler in. I used no glue in this design. Its pretty simple. I am working on a deodorant clip for this breech. It (the clip most likely will be gravity fed at first, because I don't think I have the right materials to make a spring feed.

Enough talk, here are the pics:

Posted Image

There are no seal issues because the cpvc goes directly to the coupler. The duct tape serves only to keep the cpvc straight in the 3/4' pvc. I will replace the duct tape with e-tape when I can get some.

With breech open:

Posted Image

The breech opening cut on the 3/4' pvc is sloppy (didn't have the right cutting tool) but does not interfere with the functionality of the breech.

Very, very nice. For some reason, great breechs intrigue me. I'm gonna have to try this after I pick up some CPVC and couplers this weekend :P

That's why you put electrical tape on the inner barrel, so you have an airtight seel. You could put it on the front and back so it won't move.
