None of those steel washer stefans that don't have felt covers.
Also, eye protection is required.
That is all for now.

Gametypes:
Deathmatch:
Played with a variant of 3/15
You take 4 hits and you're out of the round. One hit, you hit the deck, count to 15, and you're up again. This means 4 lives.
CTF:
Same as Deathmatch, except you've got unlimited lives. Again, hit the deck, drop what you're doing, and drop the flag. Your gun can stay in your hand, so as to protect it from fall damage. My friends and I played around with this, and it's a lot more fun than walking off to the staging area, like indoor paintball.
Bomb:
Same as CTF. Except, it's a "bomb", not a flag. You, also, don't need both bombs at your base. You need both flags, but as long as the enemy bomb is not at your base, it's 'kay.
This is my first attempt at organizing something like this, and I'm new to the forum, so please don't be an asshole. I'll take advice, not rude comments. Thank you, and good night.
What about assassin? Although there would be a lot of guards, it would still be fun.

No limit. Just be prepared to pick up your darts. 300 darts means 300 little, gray or orange bits of foam to have to collect. I'm trying not to upset local authorities too much. How many darts should Francesca and I bring? For a fairly large-ish war like this, I was thinking around 300 per person. And is there any limit to how many one may bring?
(Bit of a tip: Metal Detectors WILL detect Stefans)

Actually, I'm not quite sure, all I can remember now is that there are 1 or 2, maybe 3 assassins, and the rest are guards. I know the assassins have an advantage of some sort, but I forgot it.
EDIT: Holy shit, I was way off:

Well my college had a pretty big assassination game. In fact every dorm on campus officially participated, and the college provided cheap squirt guns (the only legal weapon) from the dorm’s entertainment budget. Here is how our game was set up:
Everybody in the game is out for themselves; there are no teams, hence the players don’t need to synchronize their schedules.
The game’s organizers assign each player a single target. Imagine it like a giant chain; A must get B; B must get C; C must get D and so on all the way down to Z must get A. The organizers should keep track of who was assigned to kill who incase players leave the game or there are disputes (you are bound to have at least one per major game).
Assign each player their first target by giving them an index card with the target’s name on it. Each player can only hunt the person on their card. When a player assassinates their first target, the victim hands the assassin his or her own assignment card. The player is now hunting this new target. Each Assassin must carry a card with their current target at all times
Encounters are handled as such: If the assassin shoots their target (we only needed one shot) then they win the encounter. If the victim shoots the assassin before they themselves are shot then the assassin may not attack them again for a certain amount of time (to be determined at the start of play). Disputes are to be taken to the game organizers. Only shots between an assassin and their immediate target count so their can be no team ups.
Safety Zones: Anywhere or when on campus that the organizers feel would not be an appropriate place/time for the game. Class, sports game/campus, library etc.
Permission: You said “School” but I don’t know if that’s High School or College. As lame as it sounds I would advise getting permission from the appropriate authorities. Kids all over the country have gotten in serious trouble because school security or even the police were called when kids were seen sneaking around the bushes holding what look like guns. Also some schools expressly forbid the brandishing of even toy guns, in which case you are out of luck. But asking for permission is best in the long run. As I said our college actually sponsored our game as a Freshman Orientation event and later when we started a Human vs. Zombies game Campus Safety didn’t freak.

Or VIP in Halo 3, which is somewhat similar, in that you must defend the team leader while trying to kill the other, often with checkpoints the VIP must reach. The last part is optional, I understand.Maybe you mean something like the game of Execution in G.O.W. 2, wing'd man? That plays out where each team has a leader, and everybody else are guards. If the leader of one team is killed, the other team loses, and vice-versa. Perhaps we could adapt that to where each team has only one "assassin" at a time and only that assassin can kill the enemy leader. And then if the assassin dies on one team, they have to choose one of the guards to become the new assassin.
... Or something like that.
I'll put both into consideration. (Salmon's and Wing'd Man's)

Pistol round means springers. Also, are we going to have a pistol round? If so, will all types be allowed, or only springers?
Sure, a pistol round sounds like it'll work.

We've decided on a game list:
Deathmatch
TDM
Assassin
Pistols
CTF
Bomb
We've decided on a location:
Juan Seguin High School, 7001 Silo Road, Arlington, Texas, 76002
We've decided on safety concerns:
Eye Protection required
No Singled Titans or LBBs
We've come up with food venues:
I have a whole post about it somewhere in here
We've established a(n updated as of 3:05) guest list:
First Post
However, the SOF-T 5 won't be able to do SOF this year. They'll be documenting the events from the 3rd person, each war filmed by the people there, video sent to them. If anyone wants to film DAFT 09, you can. I, personally, cannot.
That's it, I think.

That has yet to be decided upon.what time does the war start?
It depends on the weather forecast, really. Depending on temperatures, it may be earlier or later in the day.

I kinda figured people would know about the fluids, but with this crowd, maybe not.If the weather is gonna be anything like it is now, make sure your guns/stefans are prepared to swelter in the heat and not fall apart on you, and bring plenty of fluids. A few hours of running around dehydrated and you'll find yourself at the local hospital. Put me down as a maybe, depending on my schedule I may or may not be able to make it, also pending parental approval for the drive.
Added to the first post.
