Umpshaplapa: Cpvc couplers don't really offer enough support. Pvc gives you much more surface area/friction, as well as a tighter fit.

How did you decide the length of your barrels? Did you use boltsniper's formula, a series of tests, guesswork, what?

I found that worked well with my old foam, but the new stuff I use is WAY to dense for CPVC. It just wont fit it seems. I am a bit bummed, but it means a breech is now actually a good idea for my darts. Adapt and improve I guess.I'm going to switch to thicker foam soon, which will probably mean that I'll be going to petg for a lot of my guns. However, the SNAPbow tends to do well with extremely tight-fitting darts, so cpvc will probably continue to be my barrel of choice for it. It's a simple matter to slope the back end of a cpvc barrel, which makes loading tight darts a heck of a lot easier.
Mind if I shoot you some design ideas? I have a few that I would like some input on if you are interested.
