Interesting improvements.
I like the extended stock. I like it a lot.
The front handle I would go without though.

I would love to see this if it was stained a dark chestnut brown.

I find it more comfortable on this blaster to have a vertical priming mech, but to each his own. The extended stock is great though. I felt so squished when I used the regular stock because I'm ~6' 3". From pictures I've seen, I assume you have the same problem. As for color, I had to go with blue, but my three considerations (which took me like half an hour to decide) were ebony, dark brown and blue, but I decided on blue for gearsy look of it.

Sorry for the DP, but I have updates on some stuff I've done to this thing.

So, I had a lot of trouble deciding what to put in the middle of the turret. I had considered a GOW symbol, a toy from the movie CARS (which will go onto my next doomsayer, called the Shroomsayer), a two-face coin that would flip as the barrel rotated or a dragon. I chose the dragon because the GOW symbol was too simple, and the other two things didn't match at all, and the dragon isn't real gearsy, but it is awesome nonetheless.

Here is the dragon before I did anything to it:
Posted Image

It is a character from the game Heroscape, and I have three of them, so I sacrificed one. That game is really, really fun, by the way. Anyway, It obviously won't work in its current state, so I removed the base and heated it up and then reshaped it in a way that let it fit inside the turret. After reshaping it, I painted it. I first sprayed it flat black and then went to work. Here is the finished product after painting:

and another:

and a few more with it inside the turret:

That's sweet dude.

Why is the PETG all discolored?

Is it sanded or is it primer....?

Sorry for another DP, but I have more updates about the gun.

I really liked the sights on the Lancer, so I made my own version that work really well with the Domsayer. I hit an IBC rootbeer bottle 8 out of 10 times from 30'.

Here's a look down the sights:

Here's how the back part of the sight is attached to the gun:

I also finally stained the stock and foregrip. It isn't painted yet, but I'll get there:

And here's a few more random shots to show off some details:

Yeah, you totally got some shark going in there. Nice job, by the way. Some weathering would really finish the gears theme.

I thought it was sharkish too. It's a little strange, but I totally don't mind. I am going to paint it a worn steel color when I get time.

Thanks, but the PETG will only be like that until I paint it. Either way, it looks cool as is. Thanks.

Completely off topic, but Slowguitarman, you keep spelling doomsayer as domsayer.
I fucking love those sights! It's amazing!

I'm glad you like it, but I explained why it is Domsayer. It is not doomsayer. It is intentionally spelled Domsayer. Check the previous page.

I would first like to say: don't correct me on my blaster name. If you have played GOW, you should know that my name is not misspelled. If you haven't played it, one of the main characters is named DOMinic Santiago. It is Domsayer, but thanks for the other part of the comment. I'm glad to see people recognizing the influence.

It's the way it's supposed to be.

on topic; it does look shark-y.

Beautiful!! Love the work you've done on it so far. And yes, Heroscape is a really fun game. I love the three dimensional game boards. It's like if Lego's and D&D had a sad forgotten love child, discarded at birth, beaten and brused to be raised by Valkyries and demons.

I'm glad you enjoy it, and I plan to keep up this work as long as I can. My motto is that if it isn't worthy of its own thread, it isn't worth posting.

Dude, I love you in a totally asexual way. Thanks for the compliments and glad to see someone else that likes the game. I like your analogy for it. I got a little carried away with it though. I have almost every small expansion, half of the large expansions and 5 master sets.

The sanded PETG looks sick. I'm about to grab my sandpaper and do that to every PETG'ed gun I have. The PVC holding the sight is super clean, it looks amazing.

Yeah, they suck you in. Before you know it, you have $300+ worth of tiny figures and enough land tiles to cover your apartment floor.

I notice the stack mat in the first picture, do you use that for taking rate of fire on your guns? If so can we expect some information on this one when its ready to use?

It is called the Domsayer, but poseidon would have been a pretty cool name for it...and fitting....

This gun has a ROF as fast as you can prime and fire, which is about 12 shots in 12 seconds. The stackmat timer is actually for speedcubing.

Yes. My best time is 36 seconds, and I average about 50 seconds with the lame layer method.

A friend of mine, hella smart kid, is obsessed with those things. He constantly has about 5 with him. He can fucking do them blind folded (by looking at the cube before starting). His best time is 12 seconds but he averages high teens - low twenties. He even figured out how to originally solve it and figured out all the algorithms himself!

I won a few matches, but my best time is still junk 1 min 45 sec
