Is the Petg to tight on the darts, if so you can use hot glue to create a better air seal.

Put the stupid gun back together (if you can) and take some decent pictures of the gun so no one has to guess!!! Put your grammar book away and try to imagine being 400 miles away trying to figure out what some asshat screwed up on his toy gun without any information.

1) Fuck you.

2) I took pictures of the turret from multiple angels because that was the only part that is wrong. I tested it before when I removed the ARs and added the springs and it was good. Do you honestly believe that me taking a picture of the gun together will do any better, at least for the people who are not trying to backseat mod and trying to help out other nerfers.

I'm still stumped on this people, let me know if you have any guesses.

EDIT: If anyone wants me to take pictures of anything else tell me I can.

I think the problem here is that you are trying to make a Firefly have better ranges than 10-15 feet. Shit sucks, unless you replace the firing system.

Also, how is the fit on your darts? If they are too loose, that will kill your range. I had an NF with a #49 spring and bands, and the dart wouldn't even leave the barrel. I then put a tighter dart in, and it fired like a normal NF with those mods. Other than that, you need to give way more info. Modding "like normal" doesn't help much. What kind of spring are you using? Did you mod the plunger head? If you give us something, we can help.

MercenaryXero, that's not necessarily true. I removed the AR's from my firefly and it gets about 40 feet, I measured.

And bamblack, perhaps the turret does not allow a proper barrel length and the barrels are too short?

Your turret is misaligned with the plunger, the hole for the barrel is half on the seal, letting some air in the barrel, not all of it. The fix is:


1: pull trigger fully

2: look down the inside of the barrel. Chances are, the hole for the turret to let air in is off-center. If so,

3:rotate the turret until it is centered.

What probably happened is that you put the turret in differently aligned than it was before.

It's roughly 3.5 inches. That's okay for a piece of shit.

I think this is a problem. I assembled it roughly and its only half on the hole. I'll try using a washer on the screw with the plunger tube.

I dont know what kind of a spring you put in it, but I added a first gen NF spring and was having similar problems. Although I was recieving 20-25ft I found that if I didn't shove the dart all the way down the barrel there would be less resistance. I recieve aroud 35ft. I think that might be your problem as well.

Wow...

Anyways problem was solved. I have no idea why, but you can't really replace the spring in the firefly. I proved this by after redoing the turret again I used only the eagle eye spring, okay velocity. Next I used the firefly and crossfire, bad velocity, last I used all and it barely went 2 ft. With only the normal spring I believe I'm getting roughly 40ft, and I am satisfied.

My question has been answered. Let this die.
