Since you're too young to get a hotel, you should look around, maybe check some aim chatrooms.
Theres alot of really friendly, nice people out there, that'd be more than willing to accomodate a young boy.

I don't see what's so bad about the game. If it's addicting, then people are just to weak minded. You just gotta get a good schedule for it. I might start during this break just to see what the big deal is.

I've been thinking about getting the 10 day trial but I don't know if my computer can handle it. What are the minimal specs to run this? This is just so I can understand what my friends talk about at lunch.

Blizzard acts like a tobacco company, everything they do is designed to make you addicted to their game, but most people I know who play it still play sports and do other things with their life. It is possible to just play it normally like any other game.

I'm trying to create the account now. Its taking a while t do it though. And those specs to run it are, just way to hard for me to accomplish. I have the BARE minimum to run if that. Its sad, my computer...

This is significantly less true if you start playing because friends coax you into it, friends who are addicted... I don't want to call it peer pressure, but it might as well be.

Contrary to popular belief, I played the game for about a month. I proceeded to quit due to boredom. I than started playing again a few weeks ago because I like the whole concept of the game. I have noticed that over the past week I have yet to log on once. I have grown bored with the game again. I don't understand how so many people have such a problem breaking the addiction. I have two friends that are both level 70+ and are probably the most active, athletic, outgoing guys I know. So I think it all comes down to what your perspective is on the game whether or not its addictive. As stated it is a very common game for very weak minded people to get addicted to because it is in fact very fun. I just think that the game loses its replay value because everyone does the same Instances over and over. Also the people that bash the game that haven't played it don't fully understand it. I mean obviously when people think of WoW they think of a game that ruins peoples lives, but if some of these people played the game they may understand why it can[i] become so addicting. Thats it for my rant. Sorry if this didn't make complete sense a little out of it.

So instead, I became addicted to EVE Online. I can talk about modules and shit for a long time.

Well, I agree with Mcflurry as I also quit 4 months ago out of boredom, now I'm finding that I just run around here reading the same posts over and over. Which makes me extremely bored. So I got the 10 day trial and have enjoyed it so far because I took such a long break.
Conclusion : Anything sucks ass when you do it too much, taking things in moderation makes things alot more enjoyable.

Having gone through multiple seminars in trying to find my future career, I have found multiple studies stating that gaming is an addiction. People who are addicted, like many other addictions, have some void to fill. They are NOT weak. That would be like saying someone with depression is weak, there is a void with depression too, and things are always put in that void to replace it.

Oh, and applefury, sex can't rock when it breaks your cock.

EDIT: Don't play because my computer is sucky and glame.

Personally, I have learned that video games are a big waste of time unless you play it with your friends (brawl). Seriously, in RPGs, you level up to a really high level and waste a whole bunch of time on it. It really doesn't help you in any way except a way to pass the time. If your playing with friends face to face, there's also communication and bonding involved. Don't stay inside wasting your life on a video game.

Go play a sport, Learn an instrument, mod a nerf gun. These things are much more worthy of your time.

You can learn a lot more by not playing video games.

Any MMO player who knows what they're talking about probably has a lot of social interaction via their game of choice. This is also true of console games, but is forced with an MMO.

I see how it is. Just put a BIG dent in my weak minded theory towards addicted WoW players huh.
If there's a void, then there's something really wrong with the world if there's so many addicted WoW players. I hope I don't end up like that if I play.

WoW is cancer and is capable of running on EVERYTHING. For example, the system specs say you need Hardware Transform and Lightning. I assure you thats a lie, because my Toshiba with shittastic Intel graphics still runs and displays the game fine. It didn't even lag when my friend logged in and went to Shat. It may look like crap and you'll probably lag real bad in major cities if your processor isn't up to snuff but in the end if your computer was purchased in the last 5 years it will probably run.

Video games are no more a waste of time than anything else. If you get enjoyment out of it, it is worthwhile. Personally, I find playing an instrument or playing sports to be mind-numbingly boring. It's all personal preference.

That being said, WoW does suck a lot of people in and ruin many lives. I think it is best to avoid it, but that is my opinion. Many people play it and don't get addicted, so it's really just up to the person. However, I strongly recommend to anyone who plays that you watch how much you play and if you see it becoming an addiction, quit.

A tip for new players: don't play while depressed, sleepy, or hungry. If you do, your mind will develop a dependency on it to function. It's like ice cream, nutritionists will tell you not to eat it right after a breakup, or your body will use ice cream to treat depression.

Heroin does pretty much the same type of thing. Heroin is generally used to fill some void, and then people just get dependent on the stuff. The addiction of gaming and heroin is actually pretty similar.

Oh and Deadshooter, there is a TON of stuff wrong with this world, gaming just isn't illegal, nor as dangerous as most drugs. That's why plenty of people get addicted to gaming.
