Hi! This is my first topic so please correct me if I am doing something wrong.

I went out to walmart and found a double pack of 3K's. :) But when I opened to package and toyed with the grey one, i can pump it easier, but the little goo gauge is only half way up. Then it makes and screeching noise when I pull the trigger. I really don't want to open it up but if I have to, to fix it I will. So please help! :(

Hmmm. I'm no expert on air guns (I hate them) but there are a few things.

When you pull the trigger, does air come out?
Is the screeching like a whistle or plastic rubbing on something or what?

If you kept the recipt, you should return it. It is a lot easier than diagnosing and repairing a problem.

Thanks for the reply, when I pull the trigger it sounds like plastic is on plastic. Its sorta like a crunching noise. I don't know if I have the recipt, let me go check. :)

On the contrary, I would not return them...unless there was another set there. One can always use the broken 3k for parts, eh?

Anyway, another question that should be answered: does the goo guage drop before you pull the trigger, or only after?

One of my WalMart 3ks would not hold pressure, and had some of the symptoms you described; it turned out to be a leak around the pin of the valve, which is a rather difficult problem to fix.

Well, I honestly can say you'll never know unless you open it up. Take some pictures and put them up. And be careful, because AT3K's are a bit tricky to get back together if you don't know what you're doing.

The goo guage drops after I pull the trigger. The pump is easier to pump than usual but the gauge only goes up to half way.
I guess i can use the parts but I would rather have two. Do you know of another place they're sold? Are 3K's sorta rare?

I would try to open it, but the pieces always fly out and I don't have a camera because the lense cracked :) .

Nothings going to fly out (from what i can tell), its not a springer so you shouldn't worry about that. You want to fix it don't you?

I guess you have some heavy duty industrial strength toilet paper holders. Do they advise you to wear eye protection when changing rolls?

If you are really nervous about breaking it, then said it to a more experienced modder to have a go at it.

So this is what I did. I plugged the pump, drained the goo, and took off the barrel. But I still have a problem. When I took the barrel off I didn't know what screws take it off so I unscrewed all of them and the barrel came off. But I don't know how to put it back on, and the trigger isn't pulling the firing pin. And when I pump, it seems like no air is being pushed into the chamber.
