Watari, badger, JSB: I will add it to the dartsmithing thread later. I'm not going to add it until either this thread dies or a more complete directory is established. Also, how do I go about adding it; do I just copy and paste my post, or do I have to copy and paste the code by going into quick edit mode?

I've tried contacting Langley multiple times but he won't answer. It would be great if maybe an admin could edit this into the dartsmithing thread. I've also tried posting this there but he still won't update.

Give it a couple days. Some people like to let PMs pile ups.
I PM'd him and added it about two weeks ago. I also won't be adding sources unless you can order foam from the link that is provided.

Oh ya, Mod man's red FBR is all sold out. THe Item has ended.
Yeah, Ebay puts a limit on how long an item can be listed, but trust me: he is NOT sold out. He has an extreme amount of foam, and good quality foam at that.

Now pricing, squishiness, and fit are listed!
But the best part:
I spent forever doing some googling. I believe I went to page 20 or so of the results before calling it quits. Everything that I found now has New! next to it. Do note that the "BSI Red FBR" was found by LSWielder. This and the other red foam that I found look very promising. I also found a bunch of white foam, but unfortunately a lot of it looks like it has to be ordered in bulk.
Now I think that was worth a bump...
Edit: Forgot to say, If you have any info about the spots where it says N/A, do tell. Also tell me if there are any mistakes.

I'm not sure you can actually buy a few of the new foams you found, if you could find where to order/pay for it that would be nice.

Thank you for pointing that out. I just went back through all the sites and deleted all the ones that you couldn't order from, which was all the white foam. A funny thing I noticed was that either 2 or all the white foam sites were based in Australia. I wonder if they mostly use white FBR there.

EDIT: If anyone wants pictures of it I could get them up, but they don't seem necessary since the description says it all.

I contacted the other red foam provider and that foam ACTUALLY IS RED! I found out something else. To find red foam, search Cera-Rod. Cera rod is a type of foam used in the concrete industry, characterized by holding ground against heat (won't deform etc). This is why, some of you may have noticed, red fbr is very hard to shrivel up from overexposure to heat. The link I provided in the fbr directory DOES sell this red foam, and I'm sure other places do to. Just google cera rod.

First off, click this link to understand the definition of heat-resistant, specifically sense 3.If it is resistant to straightening by heat, you could always do it the old-fashioned way and set the cut pieces out to lie somewhere and have them naturally straighten by themselves over time.
P.S. If there are flaws in my reasoning then please correct me. I am fairly new here and am willing to change my opinion with significant evidence. All I am trying to say is that you shouldn't lose faith in this foam. For all we know this could be (hopefully) really good stuff!![]()
As for the manufacturing of the FBR, it's natural state is not linear as, in order for this to be true, they would need a really long building to stretch out 1/4 mile of foam before they spool it as well as a mobile extrusion machine to lay the foam out across that 1/4 mile area. It is heat-resistant for the purposes of resisting the heat from certain bonding and filling chemicals used to make a joint in concrete, asphalt and cement,as well as resistant to the elemental heat. The heat-resistant properties are actually there to prevent it from expanding. The last thing you want the FBR to do is expand while you are pouring a heated thermoplastic filler onto it. When you use FBR for its intended functional use, you use a size that would fit snugly. It doesn't expand to fit the crevice. If the joint you are trying to fill is 1/2", you would use 5/8" FBR, pushing it into the crevice carefully to prevent damaging it, and then you would apply the appropriate sealant.
EDIT: Thanks Badger, Just one question. Do you think that straightening it out by letting it sit for long periods of time would still work?

I bought some just to check it out. It really dense and fits PETG PERFECT, and the weird thing is, it is just like Blacksunshine's foam. Its exspensive, so yeah. Also buy the 3/4 inch, for some reason it the same size as the OD of PETG.
