[Dart Attack]

Ive notice that lots of people recently have been making some form of a night finder rifle, or crossbow. Either way its still the same thing in my opinion. All of you who did make one, inspired me to create something of my own. I initially try to be uniqe and try new things. Since people like to see new things on here… I present to you a work in proggress:

Now as you’ve probably noticed there is a second trigger. Hhhmmm… I wonder what I could do with that? Integrate an airtech? I used a PETG pipe (I think) as the plunger tube. Im not sure where to get it cause I found it in the trash at school. It was leftovers from a rocket project. Lol

I do plan on adding an airtech in there and im in the prosses of doing so. It fits rather snug and it will be a nice back-up shot. I have different ideas on where to add the pump but I cant decide. I don’t want anything attached to the side. To me that looks lazy, especially if its taped on.

As you can see there arnt any inside reinforcements. I do plan on adding a few. I do have some heavy duty outside reinforcements. The gun looks a whole lot better without them, but that would risk the destruction of the gun. We don’t want that to happen. So its on there.



Now for the plunger. There are some differences. To attach the rods, I cut up some nails and pushed them into the little slots.



Nothing new there.

In front of the catch area I added a little bit of polycarbonate inside the plunger. ¼ in fits perfect.

Just slab it on with lots of super glue and it should never come off.



I noticed that air would escape in the area where the plunger head attaches to the rod. A simple solution I came up with is an o-ring. I used the ring from an airtech turret.

You can see that in the image above and below.



It is coupler modded. It seems stupid not to. I used the original barrel to attach the coupler onto. I then added an o-ring that I found layind around. This insures that theres no run away air. Here are some close up pics…

Ive only fired this thing a couple of times but from what ive seen its really consistent. Im really pleased with it, although, I don’t know what the ranges are (never messured it).

I believe its on the hundred mark. It has more range than my airtech or longshot.

Ill update as this as it progresses.

Sex. That's all I can say. But I could also ask a couple of questions. Like 1) Do you know any dimensions of your plunger tube?(is it like KBarkers?) 2) What kind of spring is it?(I guessing a plusbow spring?) and 3) Can you show us where you cut? Cause I want to try this now.

1) No but its slightly smaller than the original, yes i believe its like kBarkers
2) Same spring as KBArkers
3) Sure...
4) Its 3 different shells

The first cut is just along the line.



For the second shell, both cuts are made and then its flipped.



The cut for the last shell.



I made all cuts with a miter saw.

I am thinking about painting it. not to sure on what though.

Vary nicely done. I like it a lot. This actually looks a lot like my NF CrossBow Level two. Have you been poking around in my head? I do have a question though what is that spring?

I knew that was a +Bow spring! I had the same idea for putting one in my Level two. But it wasn't meant to be. I'm
back at the vary beginning of my level two project. The spring tore the gun apart. Word of advice: I would use the spring KBarker used in his.

Not a problem. I was looking through the pics again and I see you couplered yours differently then I did. Looking at your set up I think that it could take the blows of the spring, but your plunger head will break. Mine broke in four different pieces after about 5 shots. You need to pad it with something. Try a toilet gasket. Like what FA_24 did to his Level two Pump Shotty. That might work.

I have been looking into internal reinforcements. I don't fire it much because Im scared of brakage.

Brilliant. I love NF rifles, and this is the second best one that I have ever seen. Reinforce the crap out of it with some aluminum sheets, and it will be good to go.

To aleviate any further confusion, it is actually not a plusbow spring.
It is the spring KBarker used.

Banding it and using a weaker spring is a perfectly fine idea. However, bands wear out over time and break, and if he reinforced the plunger head with aluminum and added a washer to the plunger head screw, he would probably be fine. And yes, in the current state, the plunger head will most likely fail. Remember, not all damage is visible and/or immediate. I had a plunger head work fine for over a month of use, then suddenly explode inside the plunger tube.

And in case you weren't already aware, dry firing puts excessive stress on those components, so don't ever let it be fired with no dart in the barrel.

@Reverse_x: I believe that KBarker used 3/4" PETG, but I'm not 100% sure.
