I'm in touch with Langley, so I'll end up hopping a train with a bag full of toy guns... once again.
Suffice it to say we'll work something out as always!
Also, anyone LGLFers have darts I can bum? I realized all my dartsmith supplies are out of state at the moment.
Fear tactics indeed...
Also Badger's listed as a maybe? Pull yourself outta your rocker, old man, don't miss this!

Anything I deem inappropriate. Most guns are OK, but I'll be testing questionable gun, unless I met you before and know how your gun performs. A basic rule is that any springer that'll pass 135 will be not allowed, which is 5 ft above the max range of a + Bow. Big Blasts & LBBs will be tested.I can't wait for the war, but how powerful can our gun be?
UPDATE- I just got back from VFW with pictures and a video. Keep an eye out when i bump this topic later today.

As for the gun restriction, +bows can shoot 140 or more flat. The +pistol (more later for those of you know don't know what this is) is shooting about that, 150 depending on the dart. I'm hoping that's alright, though I don't expect to use that for more than a round.
What's that? Oh, that's just the money you could be saving with Geico. You, my man, are the master of pop culture references.

It looks small in the pictures. It feels pretty good sized in person.Seems tiny. Carpet is a nice plus. Shoeless nerf.. Hmm..

Damn, I was off a bit. I really have no problems with springers, it's the high velocity of air guns that pose any safety issue.

That room. The only rest of the facility is a bar. It's pretty spacious, pictures don't capture that quality. Are we using just that room, or are we using the whole facililty? I have a 50/50 chance of being there.
EDIT- Approximately the longer than a classroom, and a bit thinner. (Oh shit, someone's gonna sig that)

I don't know the exact dimensions. I think my pictures were badly angled, so that's why it looks small.Could you give approximate dimensions of the room? It seems a little small to be using guns that can get much over 80'.
EDIT- I'm not gonna cut anyone.

Unfortunatly, my mom is opposed to parks. She doesn't want to be "judged" by the community. They're probably 10x3' tables, so you're looking at 50 x 30' room.. Would it be too late to just move it to the park?
EDIT- The room's is larger than 50 x 30.
I have an idea. If our numbers are bit too large, we can have a section of us (I'm thinking 1/2) play, and the other sit out. I doubt this'll happen, but this will be a countermeasure just in case. The room will fit 90 people pretty good, so 20-25 there shouldn't be too much of a problem. Guns that could clear across the room can be used, it's not like we'll be 20 feet next to each other during encounters. 40-50 ft is much more probable. Even if someone tries to "eat shit" (Self Filter!) The obstacles will provide adequate cover for advancing.

After reading your edit, Echnalaid, I wonder how you think 40-50' are reasonable range estimates. Even if the room is 60 or 70' long ( not sure how that'd be possible ) you'd more or less have to be standing against the wall to be hit by a shot at 40-50'.
Skitzo, since velocity is a measure of change in distance over change in time it is not necessarily true that two 150' guns have the same velocity. If one gun fires a dart that reaches 150' in 2 seconds its velocity is much higher than that of a gun that reaches 150' in 4 or 5 seconds.

What does your mom's opinion of nerfing at a park have to do with the war actually being there? Whether or not the tables are 6' long ( which they probably are considering they only accommodate four chairs ), you still have a very small room ( definitely not more than 70' long and maybe 30' wide ) for an attendance list that suggests you will likely have as many as 25, maybe even more than 30. I was considering attending if my supplies arrive by Friday, but not if it's going to be a 6-hour indoor war where I might have to sit out around 3 of those hours. No offense, but 3 hours driving for 3 hours of nerfing is not really that fun a day. Not sure if other people feel this way or not too, though.
She doesn't want to be responsible for my guests. I don't know why.

What school system granted Wile E. Coyote a teaching certificate in Physics?
Obviously velocity is not that simple for every application, but that's the first thing you learn about it ( or that's the first thing they teach about it at my community college, anyway ) so I figured I'd mention it to Skitzo, first.

They're under her care, because this is technically a "Birthday" Celebration. I'll try my best to convince her that if we just "Hang" at a park, she's not responsible. If you relocate the war to a public park, how is she [any more] responsible for the attendees?
But she doesn't want to be "judged by the community"- Unless... I can take split's offer of having the LGLF hosting it... Loophole!

I guess I'm still missing the point... if it's a "birthday celebration" that makes her responsible, then presumably she's just as responsible at any venue... tell her that 30 people nerfing in a room that small is less safe than playing at a park? They're under her care, because this is technically a "Birthday" Celebration.
