I was playing around with my +bow and thought that a peice of foam on the plungger head would be a good addition.

So took an arrow from a BBB and cut a section out of it.


It looked like this.



I then marked two spots were I would put holes in for the screws.



Push a small hole into the foam.



Now, take a chunk of E-tape and fold it up so its nice and thick and covers the diamiter of the foam.



Punch in two holes about the same length apart as the plunger head of the +bow.



Slide both screws through the E-tape and the foam and attach it to the plunger head.



It should create a nice air tight seal.





This slightly silences your gun and improoves your ranges.
(I also added a 4th noch in the plunger rod, for more power)

This belongs in homemades. Also, the spring in the +bow is going to fuck the shit out of that piece of foam. It'd be best to take it off, and find something much more sturdy, otherwise you're going to have bits of shit in your gun over time.

No, I've waited to post this to see the long term affects. It didn't do much. It flatten around the edges but still kept its seal.

Interesting. I did the same thing with one of my more powerful guns, and it started to shred the foam and leave bits of it in the plunger. Well I take back what I said then, great idea. And a 4th notch you say? for higher or lower power?

The piece of foam is not smashing against the piece of PVC pipe. Instead it is going inside of it. Well almost, a small portion is being smashed on the outside. But not tearing.

If the foam is going inside the bushing, it's not padding anything, am I right? Also: a bigger chunk of some sort of sturdier foam might give you actual padding; BBB arrows are made out of a material similar to FBR, and we all know what happens to stefans over time. I'm not knocking your basic concept, but refinement would be good. Also: a fourth notch in the plunger rod? The bleeding thing is already at the far edge of war legality; no more power should be needed. ~Rork

Most of it. there is a flat ring (flatten over time) that creates a nice seal. I thought about using the foam from the handle of the gun, but only thought. I rarely ever use the 4th noch, but i have it. Just incase I need it.

Finally another use for those arrows! I used small rings to put under the cocking handle on my longshot, to protect the paintjob.

This seems like a good idea. My friend attempted at duplicating the +bow, but after the first few days his monstrous spring destroyed his plunger head. To bad this wasn't posted like 2 months ago, I got a fuckload of these arrows lying around.

if this is improving the ranges, you did not do the rest right. Try putting some e/teflon tape under your O-rings.
