Actually, same thing that happened to me. I was repainting it red and black, and it started to crackle everywhere, and my noob mind went "OMGZ!!1 MY BOOTEEFAHL X-BOWZ!!!11 WUT IZ GOIN ON?!!?!?!?!?" so I ran in, got a Clorox wipe, and tried to get it off...VERY bad idea. It now has a smeared, crackled, half-inch-thick(exaggeration)coat of mud-colored Krylon on it now.Salmon - I understand making a crossbow look like crap. I was an idiot when I painted it. My first crossbow I painted crappily so I tried smearing off the paint with paper towel. Not a smart idea.
But I got over it.
But at least it works.
