I finally got my hands on a Spy Gear Launcher and I must say even stock I love this blaster. I love the missiles and how it feels. Now one of the primary goals of this mod was to be able to fire Stefans and the missiles. Now on to the mod.

Materials needed:
12" piece of OMC's PETG
E-Tape
10" Piece of PVC
1/2" PVC coupler
A little over a half inch of Thin Walled PVC
Hot Glue and Hot Glue gun
Mighty Putty
Pipe Cutters ( You don't really need this but it makes it really easy to cut the barrel of the Launcher. If you don't have one of these a Hack Saw will work. )

Here is the Spy Gear Launcher:

IMPORTANT NOTE: This mod doesn't open the blaster up what so ever. So if you want to plug the pump you should do it now.

The first thing to do is to take or Pipe Cutters ( or Hack Saw ) and cut just a little above the dark piece in the red barrel ( If you hold the blaster up to the light with out the missile you will see a dark spot at the back of the red barrel ). Now after you barrel is off ( Do not throw away the red barrel, you will need this for later ) it is up to you to take out the "X" shape inside the red barrel. I left mine it. Now wrap a lot of E-tape around the stub of the red barrel. Doing this will kill all the dead space in the coupler. After the stub is wrapped take your coupler and slide it on. Make sure the coupler is level. After it is apply Mighty Putty. It should look like this after it has dried:

Now it is your option to spray paint the coupler and the Putty. I did just so it could all match. The first part of the mod is done. Your Spy Gear Launcher can now fire Stafans. Now on to the second.
Take your red barrel pop off the "X" shaped on the top of the barrel.

Now that is done take the barrel and wrap the bottom of the barrel one time. Now take your small piece 1/2" thin walled PVC and slide it over the bottom of the red barrel:

Now hot glue the piece of PVC:


And now your done!
Here is a picture of the final product:


The ranges are pretty good.

Stefan goes from 90-100'.
Missile goes 40-42'.
I Pumped it up to ten times to get these ranges.

Did you plug the pump? How many times do you pump it?

Thanks for the comments, guy's. I edited my first post to tell how many times I pumped it. I did not plug the pump. The only air blaster pump I have plugged is my Mag Strike. Also, out of curiosity does any one know the quote in the name of the topic?

Actually, the internals are pretty much the same. The Spy Gear just has a cooler trigger, and different pump.

My Titan can achieve 170', and the pump isn't plugged.

props dayko. I'm glad people are coming around to the fairly simple modding ability of this gun. I don't know if it's my gun or not, but If I pump it to around 20 I get better ranges by a little. That's when my check valve goes off at least. Is 10 the max for yours? just curious.

My check valve kicks in around 15 pumps. I only said to 10 because I get almost the same ranges and the trigger is easier to push in.

Very nice Dayko... You beat me to it. After posting my combo barrels today, I'd planned on posting my SGL mod tomorrow or Thursday. I really like these missiles too! They actually have a deeper hole than the Buzzbee missiles (like having a longer barrel) and are far more aerodynamic.

I plugged the pump on mine and at 20 pumps I'd say it gets 125' angled or more I haven't measured precisely.

Yeah all I did was remove the restrictor on mine and the missiles kinda sting. Nice mod I'm getting around to modding mine soon.

Nice work Dayko. yeah these are pretty sweet guns. I had hopped to have had mine modded in time for W@M but wound up messing with some other guns instead. it really is a great gun. Much better then a BBBB imo. much better pump. and overall better feel.

If you guys can still find them they are on clearance at Targets for around 4.50. I picked up a stack of them for future mods and integrations.

I'm sure a lot of hi-power guns can hit people at 100ft, but that is probably just luck. Effective ranges are less than the maximum range, due to quality of dart, wind, etc.

I was doing an external air tank mod to my SGL yesterday and found out an interesting tidbit... The check valve is in the tank, not in the pump! So if you are going to mod these to use an external air source, you will either need to completely remove/replace the pump, or add a check valve in between the pump and the external hook up. Otherwise all of the air leaks out of the pump.

Thanks. They are really good blasters. I still prefer my BBBB, especially since I made a 5 barrel turret for it .
I tried going to my Target, they didn't have anything left. I was sad.

It shoots pretty straight but I would say 80-90' is the max you can nail some one. But that could just be me. I have trouble nailing people at 100'.
