My most recent project:




and since it's a Nitefinder...

it's twin-linked!

It's a simple little gun, really. All it has is a removed AR and a petg barrel long enough to mount the PVC barrel tip. Most of the painting is done, but I'm still going to do some touch-ups on it.

I feel that the paint job is missing something, but I really can't figure what it is. Might you guys have any suggestions as to what could be what to make it look better?

also, the date is a lie. I thought it might have been the 25th or something, but I took the pictures today

Hm, nicely done! It already looks pretty good, but I suppose the plunger handle could use a more distressed look to match the rest of the paint job. But only the handle; I imagine the inner portion would need to be clean-looking like a real firearm.

I'm curious about the insignia above the trigger and that deal above the laser module. How were those accomplished?

Anyways, Delish, that is awesome man. How'd you do the custom insignias?

I don't think it's lacking anything. You could try painting the battery cap the grey (Codex Grey?).

The only thing I think it might be missing is a little bit of silver in the gray areas, just to spruce it up a little.

I really like it. It's not overly complicated and its very clean. Nice work.

Its missing a scope. I think it would add that extra little something. But this thing looks great! you could leave it as is and be happy with it. You did some nice work.

I like this. But I think that in the Blue-ish gray areas, you should add a weathered metallic look. Like it acually looks like metal, like the part below it. Right now, in my eyes, it looks like plastic. But you're right, it is definetly missing something.

I like it - it succeeds where you were aiming - a decent representation of an Imperial Guard laspistol. The part that really makes it work is the barrel cover (which I've always assumed was some kind of heat dispersion module or something) - which is a very distinctive feature of the laspistols & lasguns in WH40K.

I think the paintjob is great - it almost looks like something you would see actually being held by a model in some random IG army!

Now all you need is a working (foam-toothed) chainsword to go with this bad-boy, and you are ready to give your life for the Emperor of mankind in grand fashion!

very nice, the warhammer theme works really well for this. In terms of what is missing, I would recommend putting on some "battle scars" using the dry brush technique, that may help you out. all in all great nf
