I had asked earlier what the RoF is like and never got an answer. The videos I've seen never shot it very much and the batteries were dead. Is it fast like the RF20 or is kind of like the semi auto version of the RF20. Or slower?

It says on the outside of the box 3 shots a second.

Oh my god, that's fast! does it really shoot that fast or is it their usual overestimation?

More like 2 per second.

I measured ranges and I have stock ranges

stock: 30 feet.
minor modded: 50-60 feet.

I cant wait to take out the the primary AR Inside the gun. This could end up being a full auto NF.
Also the gun really does take 6 d batteries it weighs quite a bit. *sarcasm* can someone airmail me a screwdriver?*sarcasm*

No matter where you are, the nearest hardware store will have your small screwdriver for around $5 or less.

Sonic micros. They whistle.

Just to double check, you're picture shows it off, but does the tripod detach and reattach or did you cut it off. Also, an approximate weight measurement before or after your minimization. I'd also like to know how loud it is. Thanks again man, congrats on having the first one modded on the net.

This is funny. Sure well all want it just like we all wanted the Recon when it came out. As I see it, it may only replace one gun like the recon did. The recon replaced the Mave as it shot modded mave ranges stock. The Vulcan will probably replace the RF20 if anything.

I don't know how your nerf war or zombies goes but there's already a limit on how many RF20's a group can have or rather how many can be used per capita. The Vulcan will have a limited role for sure. Shoot... If one gun could do all that we as of it in the military, wars would be a lot cheaper.

Also, I understand the need to be the first to do something but at least savor something's beauty for a little while.

They are called Sonic Micro Darts.
Also, I understand it shoot's sonic micros. I am guessing it shoots any dart with a head smaller than that then.

Yes, Vulcan keep spreading.
Spread like moss across the floor of a damp forest viewed in time lapse.
Spread your way here.
Spread your way to Canada.
Where you will have your ascension.

I don't get my kicks out of you,
I don't feel the way I used to do.

But I’m just not the angel you knew.

Hopefully you won't hack up the electric circuit of the vulcan as bad as the light circuit in your lancer, forsaken ;)

Edit: I was just being sarcastic about how he had to use multiple switches and batteries for the lights. No harm meant.

Speaking of electronics, when I get one, I plan on running it off of a 9.6 volt remote control car battery. It'll be a higher current meaning faster motors. Of course I'd have to do some minor circuit rewiring and probably install a heat sink or two so it wont overheat. The battery will also be a hell of a lot lighter that 6 batteries. Just my thoughts though.

I have some wicked plans, and they included replacing all those stupid D cells with 9.6v or 10.8v battery. It just depends on how things go once I get one.

Ne Ne Ne Ne Ne Ne Ne Ne Ne Ne Ne Ne NEH NEH NEH! Looks like G-Force found a Vulcan!
I disagree TAILsChaser, I don't think the Vulcan will replace the RF20, because other than the "Rapid Fire" part, I see no correlation. Here is an Antonym Diamante of my thoughts:

Vulcan
Battery Powered,Springer
Slow, Heavy, Awkward
Chain, Battery, Bladder, Turret
Dual Firing, Heavy, Awkward
Air Powered, Pump Gun
Rapid Fire20

Damn, formatting screwed up my poem...

Same here, can't wait to crack it open, probably just metaphorically

The weird thing is that it takes longer to order a regular Vulcan from Hasbro than it does to order the value pack.

No need to be an asshole if you don't know what you're talking about.

By looking at the belts that will be very possible. But I will wait until replacement belts are being sold before i try this. The belts will have to be as perfectly spaced so the cycleing would still work or each end of either belt could be attatched to a string so when the first belt fell out of the spent rounds side of the gun it would cycle the next belt. Either of these methods would require an extension of the box holding the belts.

On another part of the topic I plan tofinish the modification today.

That is not the "charging handle", that is the carry handle. The charging handle is the thing you pull back to prime the gun.

And to everybody else, he cut the front off to minimize it, nothing important.

It is neither.

Machine guns do not have carry handles. They have barrel replacement handles. Trying to carry a SAW or M240G by the barrel changing handle will earn you a swift kick in the nuts.

To be fair, it seems unlikely that the Vulcan has a replaceable barrel system, and the top handle is intended for the user to be able to fire Rambo-style from the hip.

Yes, I'm wanking about nomenclature. Ask me about 'clips' versus 'magazines' sometime.

I have a lot of questions:

1- Are the ranges you posted using the single shot mechanism or full auto?
2- Is there a single shot mechanism? If so, are the ranges similar to the full auto?
3- Is the ammo box detachable?
4- How many (estimate) screws would you say there are in the gun?
5- Are there any jam doors, hidden hatches, other gimmicks, etc?
6- Does the tripod close itself when you lift it up?
7- How big is it, like compared to a Maverick or Nitefinder?
8- Is it very loud?
9- Approximately how heavy is it?
EDIT: Oh, and 10- Is the barrel removable and how many N-strike rails are there?
