I just though I would created this thread for us Aussies for where to get our guns. Guns are rare in Australia and I thought people should know where to get them. Lets start!

Okay, lets get onto darts and modding material. This stuff is scarce here, We have nothing. So we must import. At least I do. Here’s what to do:

Darts – Buzz Bee Mirco Darts, Nerf Micro Darts and Nerf Taggers are all available for about $10 for 30 darts. Available at Toys’ r’us.

Springs – Yay! We do sell replacement springs at Bunnings Warehouse. Can’t remember the spring size but you’ll know it’s the one when you find it. They are about $7.

Barrel Replacements – We have nothing. You must import this. On ebay, there is a seller named ModMan. This is your guy (Please note this is not me) Look up his stuff here: http://stores.ebay.c...S-NERF-HARDWARE I have bought PETG but he also sells brass. And its really cheap.

FBR (stefans) – we do sell this stuff but it is either to large or to small. So again, I recommend ModMan. You can buy FBR to make your own stefans or if you lazy, buy some from him.

Some last tips:

If you want a better gun (ie. Longshot) use ebay.com (not .au) If you find a second hand gun, ask the seller how much postage to Australia would be and if your happy, buy it! I did this and got a longshot shipped to Australia for a total of $48. I’m super happy.

I'm aware that you're attempting to create a useful resource for Australian Nerfers, but we already have a thread devoted to where to find Nerf blasters here. I apologize if that came off as backseat moderating. I also apologize about apologizing. It bothers me too.

We also have a where to buy modding materials thread. I'm sure you can find that without my assistance.

I live in Australia, and I find it so irritating that the best guns we have are Nitefinders and Mavericks. I also import, and I'd like to thank the creator of this thread for taking the initiave to begin a thread for Aussies.

Mavericks, Nitefinders, Atomiser slingshots, DTG blaster sets, Taggers and Suction darts can all be found at Toys R Us Northland

Buzz Bee Blasters can also be found at Toys R Us, however, I wouldn't recommend any of the selection here.

Nerf Recons are in Target. At least they are in WA. They cost $40 AUD. I've confirmed seeing them in Target Fremantle and also the Target in Perth City. You should check your local one out

Sorry to bring topic back up, but I'd like the mods to reconsider keeping this thread as a 1 stop for all aussie nerfers. I am thoroughly aware there are threads for product availability and modding materials, but I found them of little help when I started nerf and modding. While Australia has never been a nerfing nation, we do have a decent selection in my state.


It seems most of the au nerfers are from VIC or WA, but anyone from Sydney metro post..

Yeah I'd be in favour of this being a sticky, I know it's not vital information but its useful for us Aussies.

The other day I scored 3 FF's on sale at Kmart for $25 each, I was stoked. I know they arn't the best blaster but we nerf indoors and they're good noob guns as you can't jam them. After AR removal and the straw mod they get reasonable ranges.

Places like David Jones and Myer also stock limited nerf; usually NF's, DTG, Iron Man FF, mavs and reactors.

They are usually overpriced ($20.00 for a mav or reactor, $70 for DTG) but becaue of this they usually have blasters in stock and they do price match with other stores.

Anyone in NSW,selected Toyrus have an abundant supply of Big Blast sets, Big Salvos, and recently we've got mega shipments of the Incredible HulkTitan/hornet for ~$60. I've also heard rumors there are Ironman magstrikes lurking in inventory gathering dust.

For modding materials, Hobbyco in Sydney CBD has a selection of brass tubing ranging from 15/32" to 21/32". Try your local hobby store, as they probably sell metal material for crafters.

SA TRU's are also overstocked with Big blasts, Big Salvo's, Over-unders etc

I'd be interested in magstrikes if anyone can find them, cant seem to get my hands on them in S.A

Also today I saw a lone recon in TRU with a bonus LS scope with it.. hadn't seen that before

Not sure about the rest of Oz but Casey's Toy World at Erina, NSW has a good selection of Buzz bee, same with Toy's r Us. Target isn't bad mainly the Hulk blasters and the Iron man Firefly.

Also, Gosford Hobbies has Imperial brass pipe. I have already used some to mod a Single Tek. The other thing is if you use Metric PVC you can use the backer rod you find at bunnings. I used it in my singled Titan. Now no one can use the same darts as me, but since I have other guns I can still use theirs. Oh yeah...

Those recons with the scope have just been released, my local ToysRus just got a stack of em in. But I bought one ages ago, So I am devoed.

Recons hav made an appearance on K-Mart shelves, at least in South Australia they have.
I have also seen Mavericks here. I think I got one from Target.

Also, the springs you found in Bunnings - too heavy guage and the biggest doesn't even fit a NF. *thumbsdown*

Yeah, I found the same problem with the springs at Bunnings in my area.

By the way, in case any one is interested, in the next couple of days I am going to put 2 modded Big blasts, 1 modded Big Salvo and 2 modded Single Teks on ebay. Not sure if anyone cares but yeah...I said it anyways.

Hay, I got my Longshot yesterday. Had a fella over in the 'States mod it and send it over. It is truly a beast. He is going to help me out with future purchaces too. Toying with the idea of a Vulcan. Alot of money though, and a pain in the hole to mod.

Good stuff, nice to hear there are some decent springers in AU. You got a PM check your box. I hate to be the master of speculation but I had a chat to a friend, who asked some one he knew who works at Target admin about any new nerf products, and the idea of the LS coming to Australian shelves will be a longshot, however they are considering getting vulcans in Q4 of 2008 and in 2009. Fingers crossed eh.

OK, so aamiller321 is right. I seached not only nerfhaven but also used several different search engines to search the web. I can't find a picture of it. I know they exist though, you can get them at my local Target and TRU's.

I tell ya what buddy, next time I am at the shops I'll take a pic for you. But pretty much it is a Firefly with an Ironman paint job and a poster to shoot at.

They do exist.

It's just a FireFly with Hasbro/Iron Man packaging, and a Hasbro/Iron Man colour scheme. Nothing fantastic.
