Of course, for my plan, it gets 120+ degrees. Staying out in that long enough would make your prains boiol and kill the zombies coming for me.
I like my plan best.

But there will be no zombocalypse, so I really don't have to worry, now do I?
You do have to worry. There is no consideration of IF the will be a large scale zombie invasion, but WHEN.

I own the Survival Guide, but would just call Angel or someone. I live close enough to him, and he would eat raptors and zombies. My garage is packed with crowbars and hatchets, plus the not-so-recommended chainsaw (I don't know, Dr. Salvador was good with one in RE4). There's a clusterfuck of aluminum baseball bats, how would those fare? I think a gang of Nerfers in a zombie invasion would be brutal.
Being Canadian, I need to drive slightly North until I find some mountains or to Algonquin park with it's large array of random hills and tall cliffs. It can get damn cold there, too.
For class 1 and 2, my house is fine. The garage has an impossible-to-access attic that can be used as a hideout. Entrance through an old ladder that folds into the ceiling against the trapdoor. For Class 3, I think the house itself is incredible. It's very easy to barricade and the stairs can be destroyed. The attic doorladder is actually in the back of my closet here, but there's no ladder so we would have to climb. Food and supplies have been stored in the back of the cupboards for years, so we're covered there. I have nearby friends to use as fodder/patrols, and the local gun club has some semi-automatic .22s (a combination of the two), although the looters and zombies would've destroyed that place by the time we would get there.
Class 4, damn, I don't know what would happen there. Here's where we sit in our basement planning EVERYTHING.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. A good nerf gun is like a good woman. It shouldn't require extra lubrication.

What do you mean by class such and such?
Class is the level of the outbreak; the higher number, the worse. *Whips out Zombie Survival Guide* Lets see...
Class 1 is the lowest level, it's about 1 and 20 zombies and usually 1 to 50 human casualties. But left unstopped it'll grow to...
Class 2 outbreak is 20-100 zombies which are usually more concentrated causing a greater response from law enforcement and some low level military elements. But also may be a wider area...
Class 3 is a true crisis, anywhere from 100 to 10,000 zombies. Once the goverment finds out what's really going on military will be fully involved and a state of emergancy will be declared for the area and it's surroundings.
Class 4... Zombies have taken over, pockets of resistance will be around, but the majority will be zombies or turning into them. See "Living in a Undead World" pages 154-183.

I'm actually up to page three (I write longhand on double sided, college ruled paper), which means I have 6 page-lengths written. I'm gonna try to write a whole book.

So, if there is a zombocalypse on the way, how exactly will it start? Where will these zombies come from? Is there any scientific evidence that suddenly zombies will start attacking people? Please explain. But there will be no zombocalypse, so I really don't have to worry, now do I?

I'm guessing that, similar to AIDS, the disease will have it's greatest population spread in Africa. It will emigrate to China by way of the Sudanese. From there, it will spread to South American countries by way of illegal organ trade. From there, the world...

Zombification is based on a (fictional) virus called Solanium or the "voodoo magiks" depending on what article you read. Theoretically, if the "voodoo" approach is taken, then it should spread from lower North America or Northern Africa.
Voodoo has its roots in western Africa. Northern Africa is predominately Muslim. My money would be on a zombie plague, magical or biological, spreading out of sub-Saharan Africa. The culture, lack of access to medical resources, dense population centers, and poor communication to out regions make the area an excellent incubator for an outbreak, regardless of origin.
And Captain, why do you have to be that guy?

Yes, but it still has a high percentage of Voodoo believers. Also, lower North America implies the New Orleans region which also has a high Voodoo percentage.
Please don't turn this thread into a flame war, eddieoctane. It is childish to insult someone based on ignorance of a not so well know subject.

EDIT: I just finished the first chapter and will work on it more tomorrow. Zombie Story. I wasn't all that sure about the genre so I put it in action because the story doesn't have that much horror.

That's exactly what I mean. There is no zombification virus, so a zombocalypse is at least highly unlikely, if not impossible.Zombification is based on a (fictional) virus

But why do you have to be the one to point out that it is all fiction? We are bullshitting and having fun, and remarks like that ruin the vibe. And great job derailing the thread.
