Ok, I opened up my NF to take pictures. I forgot how that little spring just flies out at you...what a pain.

Heh, I melted away the case with a soldering iron so that the pieces would fit. I wish I had a Dremel back then, as it would have been a lot easier.

I wouldn't do that. The released gas is toxic...

Also, could you post some more revealing pictures?

Really, depending on the spring, I could believe those ranges. My NF has the increased draw as well, along with a BBB spring addition and other basic stuff, it hits high 80's and low 90's. Now that I compare them I can actually see it hitting that, but I'm not sure exactly how long your NF will survive.

What spring did you put in it anyway?

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. A good nerf gun is like a good woman. It shouldn't require extra lubrication.

...and glued the heck out of it with some super strong orange-colored Elmers Glue...

Wait, is that the new Elmer's Ultimate Glue. I recently bought some of the stuff and was wondering how it holds up before I use it. Oh...and nice job manning up and correcting yourself about the range. A lot of people who claim ludicrous ranges like that never admit they were wrong, because they're usually 11 year-olds with no maturity, no balls, and nothing else to do all day but stay on Nerfhaven and pretend they're "teh best modzorz everz!!!1!!!11".

When speaking about a swallow, always make sure you know whether it is an African or European swallow. It is very important.

I would be afraid the plunger rod would shoot out at me if I shot it, though it could still blow up....

deaddumpster, I honestly don't remember the name of the spring I used. I bought it from Lowe's though, so I suppose you could take the stock spring to the store and just pick the spring that is a little bit longer and with a larger diameter.

Blasphemy, YES! That is the glue i used...Ultimate Glue. Man that stuff is pretty strong. When I think Elmer's I think of the white school glue, but the Ultimate Glue is no joke. The bad part about it is that it takes so long to set...it takes like a full day for it to fully harden. You know its ready when it expands and starts to look kinda bubbly. Maybe its the altitude or the weather here in CO Springs that makes it take so long, who knows.

Idea:

Maybe it's the fact that the spring doesn't look cut-down at all. Also, the combo of the glue and use of e-tape to get a perfect seal could have something to do with it.

Here's my question: Was your stock dart rammed into the barrel, or just sitting in up to the suction cup? If it was all the way in, then I'm calling this confirmed- the rubber would make massive air resistance, causing the pressure to build up to insane levels behind the dart before it takes off.

Also, it gets HOT in CO Springs if I'm not mistaken, and as we all know, the hotter it is, the further the ranges generally go.

The spring is not cut at all. I push the dart down the barrel with my pinky finger as far as it can go. It takes a bit of force because the e-tape around the rubber suction tip makes for a very tight fit.

It does get kinda hot, but I think the dart may fly farther because the air is thinner at this altitude. I am over a mile above sea level.

Yeah, with those variables, I think you could very easily be getting ranges of 100'. But you should go to the hobby shop, or Michael's or something, and get some craft foam. Then hot glue a bit of it to the plunger head. It will soften the blow to the plunger tube, and will increase the life of your gun. That Handyman spring you have in there is very powerful.

It's not like that. I put lube on it and its the same. Its just stuck. And when I cock it back it goes farther back then usual. Also I push as hard as I can and it wont go back in. I've tried the methods and they wont work. Also pics are up.
