My cousin got a new Recon and there is a black thing covering the plunger tube. It seems to have a more powerful spring to. I think its to make moding harder still.

What do you think

Umm pictures might help.

And could you be a little more descriptive than a "black thing"?

When you say "black thing," do you mean it is on the inside or the outside? Because if you mean the black ring on the back where the "ARMED" post comes out, then it's nothing new. But a more powerful spring sounds like a good deal to me.

Oh yeah, and you should improve your post quality, proof-read before you post, improve spelling and grammar and stuff.

Is it attached to the stock or the gun? I haven't heard about this, if you could post a picture that would help a lot.

Perhaps he bought one that was premodded with an extra spring chamber.

Forgive my spelling and grammar. I post from my cell phone a lot. Sometimes when I'm on the can at work.

I highly doubt it.

The caliber of members posting lately, gives me the impression that they barely know how to rebarrel a NiteFinder, much less attempt a modification on a Recon.

I think we need something a little more substantial in the near future, ty23. No one else has seen anything like that yet. Pictures would be very helpful, but I know... your camera broke/ battery died/ mom has it/ other excuse.

That reminded me of the funniest thing. I bought a LS when it first came out, took out the air restrictor, and took it back. Some lucky kid got a LS with a little more power than the other kids :P

I did the same thing with a NiteFinder. Although, I was a noob at the time, and I added a CF, and I think a Mav spring, but anyway, It would'nt catch, and the thing just kept exploding. I put it back together, and took it back to target. So some kid got an NF, and shot it, and it expkoded with a suprisingly loud, 'BANG!'. :P

It's not like that. I put lube on it and its the same. Its just stuck. And when I cock it back it goes farther back then usual. Also I push as hard as I can and it wont go back in. I've tried the methods and they wont work. Also pics are up.

Check the modifications directory and look for "clever spring addition" and tell us if that is relative to what you have.

It looks like the clever spring addition but its black and on the black thing at the back. And there is a hole in the back of the tube.

Then why don't you ask her nicely if you can use it for one picture then get it off the camera and upload it to Photobucket or somewhere and put this topic and it's flames to rest?

Ty23, what do you mean by, "When I upload it to the computer"? Do you mean, that she's already taken it, and you need to upload it, or that she thinks you will break it when you upload a pic? Well, from what it sounds like, you just don't have a camera, are too lazy to take a pic, or you're not 13. Why don't you go onto Microsoft paint, and draw a rough sketch of the piece, then upload that to the site. No cameras involved.

That lets you attach the stock. I would know, owning a recon, and having seen multiple. As for a more powerful spring, That may be better, cause my recon shoots about 5 feet, and its stock.

You push one button to make a camera work (ok maybe 2 (1 to turn it on)). How does your mom possibly think that you will break it? Seriously.

Anyways, it doesn't sound anything new on the Recon.

I think he is talking about the black end cap (?) in the picture numbered 3 here

This is nothing new if this is what he is talking about.
