Was anyone else dissapointed by the western, spongebob special "pest of the west" about a week ago? Patrick should get booted from the show! (SPONGEBOB IS FOR ALL AGES: DONT FLAME)

The one thing I do admire about this show, is the occasional humor that your average spongebob viewer would not understand, however I still don't like it.

Look, the first 3 seasons were good. I bet your solely judging on the disgraceful seasons of 4, 5, and 6.

I wouldn't be able to judge it on anything because, with the exception of Grandma's kisse's(which my friends and i promptly muted to dub over with the fun X rated version), I've never actually watched this show for more that 5 minutes before i switched it something more dignifying, Like the Colbert Report.

I've always hated Spongebob, but the movie made me crack up.

Forget you all. Spongebob owns. I still love it. Just because someone afraid to show "weakness" by liking something less "mature" doesn't mean it sucks.

I remember when I was in Beach Haven, LBI in 01' (I think 2001). The first Spongebob episode. It was great, and still is.

Classics are the best.

I don't really watch spongebob anymore. I just lost interest. It seems like they're running out of ideas from what you guys are saying. On a side note, I have to wonder why there's never been an episode about spongebob discovering a shipwreck or a sunken submarine (Like that scene in Finding Nemo).

My cousin (20-something) loves SpongeBob (no, he's not retarded). It's just an innocent, stupidly humorous (dumb humor, not bad, but it doesn't require thought), children's show. That's about it.

But every now and then, I'll watch the originals. The one where Squidward(?) finally moves is a classic.

What do you mean "what Spongebob has turned into"? I thought it was total chaos masquerading as child-friendly humor from the get go. It's like the creators had a really good/really bad acid trip in front of a kitchen sink. They start washing dishes. "Dude, I think the sponge is talking to me. He wants me to hollow out the pineapple I was saving for the party on Friday and let him live there." "Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude............................................. awesome." I could never follow that show. Watching girls debate what flavor tobacco was mixed with the weed in a hookah makes for a better time.

Spongebob is ok, as children's shows go. when I'm really bored, it's fairly entertaining. I don't think it's worth debating wether some special violated the integrity of the show or not. It's stupid fun, it doesn't matter.

One a side note, eddieoctane, nobody cares that you smoke weed. I'm sure you're not the only one who has, or does, but if you want to talk about it you'll probably be more welcome at NHQ.

I was tryign to make fun of the trippy nature of the show. A moai and a pineapple as houses. A talking kitchen sponge. A squirrel in a space suit living in an inverted fishbowl. Come on. It takes more than a suspension of disbelief to comprehend. I am not making a habit of reference drugs. Just accentuating the strangeness of Spongebob Squarepants. I won't bring it up again.

Forget Spongebob, they need to put Junkyard wars and Battlebots back on TV. That is some quality entertainment. I heard its on one of the channels if you have 500 of them, i don't. Oh well there's always deadliest catch and Mythbusters.

**Mr.Nerf most of the people on this fourms are in high school, college or past college(I'm not saying your not,which i don't know) and most of them don't watch cartoons. So why post about it?

I think I am going to sigg that. But how old is spongebob? My theory is around 20, but I really don't know. I have'nt watched since I was 10, so I don't know if his age has been mentioned or something.
