I just have to say, my dad, has tons of guns, under his bed,in his bedside drawer, all around the basement, hell, standing next to his bedroom door, I just grew up around them. And he has all of them with damn good reason too. What are you gonna do at gunpoint with a robber in your house or when you're in the middle of any kind of violent incident? Ask the shooter, "Hey, can I go get my 300 Win Mag"? NO! Guns are needed, what's a criminal gonna say when he hears about more gun restrictions, "Oh no wait, what I'm doing is wrong."? I've been taught about guns, but also about the basic concepts of society. I was looking for one of toys when I was like 4, I saw this rather long case under my dad's bed. I figured, I'm not supposed to get into other peoples' stuff, so I left it alone. I had no idea what it was, and I didn't really care. I later learned about guns and realized what could of happened. But since the simple concepts of privacy and ownership were into my head, that was avoided. There's pretty much no one else to blame except the parents if that does happen. If you're a parent and haven't taught your kids that yet, THEN TEACH YOUR DAMN KIDS!!!!! Ignorance causes violence and overall stupidity. One last somewhat off-topic point: what happens to kids who don't give a damn about their grades in school? You end up ordering a burger from them at Mickie D's 15 years later when you have a well paying job and a life. This huge wall of text is basically sums up to this: Parents' ignorance to teach their kids basic safety is the main reason for violence.

I really should reevaluate my Nerf carreer. I have been ultimated multiple times in a war, shot by a girl with an arced NF, and EMBARASSED by a 6 year old in quidditch on xbox. What am I doing with my life?

Well said nube.
I also grew up with alot of guns within easy reach. My parents just taught me from an early age that guns are'nt something to fuck around with, I understood I wasn't supposed to mess with them, and no one in my family has had any kind of accident. As far as nerf teaching kids to go on shooting sprees, thats complete shit. their just making a living selling a succesful product, and im sure the majority of children who play with nerf blasters, know theres a huge difference between their longshot, and their daddy's AR15. it all comes down to what parents teach their kids, not hasbro

Indeed. Frankly all this crap that is flying in the news about FPS's training kids to be mass murders and that Nerf guns make them into mass murders is utter crap. There's millions of children that play with Nerf/Airsoft/Paintball, millions more play video games. None have gone on a shooting spree in their school.

Is Nerf teaching us that guns are fun/cool? I don't need Nerf to tell me guns are fun/cool. But the difference between Nerf and a real firearm is so huge.

The gun is not always the bringer of death its the man that holds it that wields the true danger. Numerous people have said "EDUCATE YOUR CHILDREN" there right if we raise our kids right than they will know. I mean look at kids younger than 16 now that generation is so screwed that ill bet y out the crime rate will be higher than the BEatles on a Friday night.

Always remember your trigger discipline and gun safety guys. And never give your gun to a baby or a cat.

The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?

Sweet I can read some of that because I'm taking Japanese this year. Anyway, nerf guns don't teach you shit, except that you can shoot foam at each other, and it won't hurt you.
