You mean it's loaded, you fire it, the plunger moves, but the dart doesn't leave the chamber, right?

If so, I have hade/am having this problem too.

Just because you can't see me doesn't mean I'm not there.

That search button is for searching. It's been discussed countless times. At least 3 times this month.

Your problem may be that the catch is probably missing/broken.

So your saying you load the Maverick then cock it then it automaticlly fires right?

That means your catch is broken in some what way...

you might wanna give us a pic so we can help you...

Okay I saw the pic's the only thing I could see that would make the gun fire by its self is if you are pullin' the tigger while cocking it.

Ok, then the spring that holds up the "ring" like catch is the problem.

It has over compressed, and so it isn't applying enough upward force to the catch.

So:
Temp solution: Stretch it out a bit.
Longer: super glue the base of the spring, giving it a bit more pressure. (AKA increase the standing hight of the spring)

Thank you Ajaq. it works now. I used hot glue instead and it is holding up fine. :)

How fast does it fire? Like, right after you fire it, before you can aim and shoot, or like, 10 seconds.

The little rod in the cocking handle may be bent, or the cocking handle may be screwed up. Take some pics of that.

I don't think that the pluger is upside down because the smaller clip coming off of it is the catch. The catch is supposed to be on the bottom so that the pole that cocks it has the larger clip to push against. I'm not sure if that made any sense. As for your problem you may want to increase the strength of the catch spring. Either buy a new one or stretch the one that is already in it. The problem is if you stretch the spring already in the gun then it won't last as long as it should.

I know how a catch works. I haven't opened my Mav in months (not that it deserves to be) that I thought the bigger nub was the catch.
