As it turns out, the 7th is my mother-in-law's birthday, so I'm occupied. The rest of June is good for me, though. Since Ryan is out for the 14th and 21st, how does the 28th sound?

May is probably out for me...I'm moving that month over the course of a few weekends, but I'll see how things are progressing.

As far as later summer, I'm on vacation from the 10th to the 23rd of August.

Do we want to start a new thread and get planning going in earnest?

Ok, lets do the 28th of June, should give me plenty of time to fix everything.
I'll make a planning thread when it gets closer.

Anyone who wants to have something sooner, feel free to make a planning thread.

Sounds good. I will start a thread about a May or April war, mostly for the noobs, and members of my clan who bailed on the last one.

June 28th it is...

I can totally make that date, and it sounds like it's good with everyone else. If someone is in contact with Carrtoon, let him know about that date and see if it's good for him.

Spring one I won't be able to make.

It's on.

That'll give me enough time to get moved into my new place and finish up my mods that've been lingering for far too long.

My new place has space for a basement workshop.

Awwwww yeah.

I'll do my best to make this one. Plenty of time to plan it, and I'll get a few guys to come down too.

I understand you guys are kinda new to this whole going to wars thing, but the generally accepted method for planning a war is to start a new thread, as opposed to piggybacking an old one. If you really wanna continue in this manner, far be it from me to stop you (well...not that far), but I think you'll find it easier, cleaner, and a lot more appealing to people who have stopped reading a 2 week old recap thread, if you post a new topic. Again, just a suggestion.

The new thread will be started shortly, like Sam said. As far as people not reading an old recap thread, the people still reading are directly involved or interested. Anyone not reading will see the new thread when it gets posted in a week or two. Anyway, it wasn’t intentional, it just happened that way.

Besides, this way we get to start a thread with a solid date and a core of attendees, as opposed to three starting pages of “shit, I can’t make that date."

It's disturbingly cold in the winter, humid in the summer, and home of way too many hippies!
Quote from Minnes-OH-tan woman (from St. Paul):
"Gotta watchout for them I-pods there.
All that plastic there in the dumps.
Some day the world's just gonna blow up, too much plastic with all them I-pods."
All said in a thick Minnesota accent, which I have no idea how to convey in writing. But seriously, there is a disproportional amount of crazy, tree-hugging hippies up there (and I'm from Seattle).

On the other hand, there is an overabundance of nice parks, trails, lakes, golf courses, etc. If I didn't have such an inborn disdain for people who value trees more than human life, I'd be quite fond of the land of lakes.

Although it is in the middle of nowhere. We all know that North Dakota doesn't exist and there isn't much more to Iowa than corn. Also, for as white as you white guys from St. Paul are, the Northside of Minneapolis has some of the worst neigborhoods (ahem, sorry "hoods") I've ever been in (it's no East St. Louis, but I'd put it up there with Camden, NJ), and that's saying a lot.

Okay, so I have to say something else I like about MN...ummm...this is harder than it sounds...oh yeah, it has one of the sweetest playgrounds I've ever seen. Great for NERFing.
And of course, Sam, you live there. Oh, wait! You're in Colorado. Ah man, this isn't looking good for you guys.

So, pretty much the only thing you have going for you guys is that it's green with lots of parks, trails, etc.
Oh well, I live in Southeastern Idaho. We've got more than just potatoes, okay, maybe not. But hey, those potatoes sure are good, eh?

-It's disturbingly cold in the winter,
Suck it up

-humid in the summer,
Suck it up

-and home of way too many hippies!
Suck it up.
Minnesota is not a state for pussies.

-But seriously, there is a disproportional amount of crazy, tree-hugging hippies up there (and I'm from Seattle).
You obviously haven't lived in Colorado. Plus crazy people are everywhere.

-Also, for as white as you white guys from St. Paul are, the Northside of Minneapolis has some of the worst neigborhoods (ahem, sorry "hoods") I've ever been in (it's no East St. Louis, but I'd put it up there with Camden, NJ), and that's saying a lot.
You know Camden is consistently rated as one of the most dangerous cities in the US, right? Plus, Scientology was founded there.

-And of course, Sam, you live there. Oh, wait! You're in Colorado. Ah man, this isn't looking good for you guys.
Don't worry I'm only here for 5 more weeks, or something like that.

But seriously, lets let this thread die. I'll have a thread up for the new war in a week or two.
