I've been wondering for a while what an ar-15 spring, because I have heard of a gun called an ar-15 but i don't know if you are talking about a spring that is just called ar-15.

Pretty sure the spring is sold as a piece, and it does belong to a gun.

I've begun to start cutting my bolt sled out in machinable plastic. I've been taking pictures. They're on my camera right now, I'll post the pictures later.

It's the action spring from an AR-15 (Which I think stands for Assault Rifle).

You can get them at gun shops or on the internet.

Action spring? I was under the impression that it was the stock spring.

ArmaLite, actually. I've got an AR-15 spring, it's the perfect spring for an LS, NF, BBB and most other guns like that. Still, this makes me want to buy a #69 spring as well.

You can buy an AR-15 spring online for pretty cheap, depending on where you buy it.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. A good nerf gun is like a good woman. It shouldn't require extra lubrication.

I bought the #69 for $3 at ace. The thing is a beast to compress. I can't do it by hand, and I tried using my bodyweight to compress it on a table, and it shot out from under my hand. I ended up busting my fingers on the table. That totally ruined my day.

((sry if this is a necro-bump))

I've been toying with the idea of using a CNC machine to cut the pieces out of steel or aluminum. Instead of making a complex blueprint though, I could simply hand the gun's internals off to a friend of mine (or do it myself) and use the gun's internals as a template instead. That seems much easier to me.

I'll look into doing it and get back to you guys.
