I think that the real reason that Hasbro has been putting out more shorter-range, higher-rof guns is that the potential of the best-known older ones (AirTechs and the like) was wasted when they had to shoot under 40 feet to be kid-safe. To us, an AT2K is awesome, but for the average person, a DTG shoots just as far and fires faster.

Potential has nothing to do with it, each of there guns is designed with safe in mind. They know damn well the potential of the guns before putting them into production. The fact is, theres just a changing market and they're trying to keep up. Goo gauges are out and big war type guns are in.

Haven't seen any comments on the Wii gun, it looks pretty bitching whether you use it for a wii or not.

I read an article on the new guns, and for the hyperfire one, i noticed that it said "two player set". so unfortunately there is a possibility that there will only be 3 colors, unless you can get another hyperfire set that has blue and another color (im guessing yellow, orange, or purple).

I was talking about the other color variation of the set (if there is going to be one), on the one with the green DTG there was also a red DTG.
and it said two player set, so that means it would have two vests, so on the set we saw it was just red and green.

Sorry for digging up an old topic, but I read in that gizmodo magazine, that the vulcan has a pneumatic pump for single shots or something as well as the auto feature, I'm not 100% sure that that's right though.

There was already a discussion about this magazine excerpt. It's most likely that whoever wrote the article either did not really know what they were talking about or were using different terms than what we are used to. Besides, this would belong in the vulcan thread if it was anything new.

in my opinion the hyperfire is 12 shot because it says 24 darts and two player

i would love to get it and integrate it into my spare longshot.

The number of shots a blaster has is not an opinionated question. Through a monstrously fast google search, I found the page I was looking for:

With the quick-fire HYPERFIRE blaster, players can launch ten micro darts into the air within seconds

That means it is a ten shot. I'm pretty sure I saw it in a press-release type video, and it was just a repainted DTB.

The hyperfire is available at my local Target, but it was sold out (I saw a sticker for Nerf Hyperfire $37.89).

What you saw, before everyone start going nuts trying to find them, is the store getting ready for its eventual release. Don't misinterpret this as the blsater is coing out shortly. The Target by me had the label for the LS up 4 months before it hit the shelves. They do this to inform the overnight stockers that this is where it will go and sometimes for inventory control. It may be in their systems for when it does arrive, but they have no information as to when. They also do this to entice people to keep coming to their store to look for it, hoping they will buy something else.

It isn't listed on Target.com yet, so I highly doubt it is out.

I just noticed on the video, if you click on his username...it shows 3 videos about the "eliminator" and 2 of them are pictures, and the last one talks about the eliminator and the iron man firefly (which we all know is just a firefly painted red and yellow...oh wow!!) to me...the most interesting thing is that he says this in the video description box...

I've been wondering about this guy. He lists his age as 42 and that he lives in Bermuda (starvingraccoon), but the other profile lists his age as 18 and that he lives in New Zealand (amjkproductions). Which one is he? Sure he has a few of the new guns, but something seems a bit off about him. Don't the employees have to sign releases concerning leaking any information about their new blasters? Isn't it wrong for them to not only release any details about them, but to pan them like this guy does? You never see OMC talking about them on YouTube or talking shit about the new line.

It just seems a bit shady.

By the way, all he has to do to get on NH is apply and wait like everyone else. No one can help him but himself.

I had a girlfriend from New Zealand a few years ago. The accent doesn't denote that they are from New Zealand. While she had a mild one, her mother's was virtually non-existent and her father's was strong. He cold be some kid that lives in the states that has an accent. It just seems odd that he had two accounts with two different ages and two different locations.

Depends on the store's practices when it comes to inventory protocols. Your district may conduct things differently than they do in NJ, where everything is done bass ackwards. We have no Super Targets here in NJ as far as I know, definitely not the one by my home. They have very little room for Nerf in my store, only an endcap and a 8' section on the wall. You never know. In any case, I haven't heard anything about it out here nor seen any tags as of yet.

Thus why it says 24 darts. 2 for each elimanator as well.
