also, did anyone check to see if there were any pot heads playing whilst we nerf?

I rarely understand what your saying.

I read a news article about a lot of potheads getting busted whilst playing frisbee golf. 15 pounds of sweet, sweet hash...

anyway, I'm happy we have more than 10 people attending...

That sounds a bit ridiculous. I don't think you can even carry 15 lbs. of pot. But that is a lotta ganja.

Anyway...anyone know where the best place to get a hotel would be?

I think Hash is a lot heavier then just plain old pot, but anyways...
It kind of depends on how much you want to spend and how nice of a hotel you want. You can look here. There might be a small chance you could stay at my house, but I won't now if thats possible until munch closer to the war.

Hash is a lot more concentrated than cannabis leaf and bud, and it is much more dense. Being cannabis resin, it usually is sold in solid block quantities, so 15 pounds of hash would be a little more mobile than cannabis buds. Regardless, that is an insane amount of bombay black. Why they would bring that much to a frisbee golf course is beyond me...

Special botany discussion aside, I'm excited to see the war zone. I haven't been to the site since spring of last year. Has anything new gone up around it? Any obstacles/more cover? What's there to get behind now instead of dirt humps?

Sounds like quite an attendance so far. Last year's was a good number, but it's always interesting to see more show up.

Ringu, I've learned a select few valuable lessons in my many adventures throughout life. One of them is that showing off your knowledge of pot in most public places does not impress anyone so much as it raises little warning flags in the heads of uptight onlookers. Anyways, just a little advice.

Have a great war guys.

Rings, they finished the playground. Now we have a rather awesome "belltower" to play in; sharpshooters vs. was a favorite last time as much as it was fun to play. The difference now is that we have to watch out for people, we play in the field when there are kids and on the playground when there aren't.

Doesn't really matter how much to spend. If anyone else is thinking about staying the night that is coming from out of state, I would be willing to split the room with someone.

Thanks for the offer but I wouldn't want to impose on you and your family.

EDIT:

If you go to Google Maps you can check out there new feature called Street View. Just type in the address and click on the Street View thing. It's pretty cool, you can see the playground in the background and the field we used last summer.

This is NOT a topic on hash. If you want to talk further about it please use private messages.

I'm finalizing the date.

So. What next? Any questions on what guns to bring?
Personally I'd bring 'em all. I usually don't bring one or two for whatever reason and regret it once I get there.

Game types?
CTF, Assault (1 flag), Sharpshooters vs., FFA... Team battle, maybe, if we don't like flags.
Sam's game with 2 lives and pistols.
Any more?

As for H20, I'll be bringing a cooler full and you can take some from the spout out the bottom.

Alternate locations? Sam, I think I'm trusting you with this one... we can try that other playground, I suppose. Is acorn park nearby?

I'm probably missing some things but we've got a month, so hopefully it'll have come up by then.

I'm cool with whatever as far as games go, as long as we try to keep sitting around to a minimum. Also having one or two people go on a food run while everyone else stays back would be good a idea.

As far as alternate locations go, there is that other playground, the brick yards I mentioned earlier, and some other small stuff. Acorn is probably too far away, and there will most likely be a lot of frolfers there.

Alright good, I'm booking the hotel.

Big Blast?
And I'm guessing it's okay to bring my Titan I brought last summer?

Game types?
CTF, Assault (1 flag), Sharpshooters vs., FFA... Team battle, maybe, if we don't like flags.
Sam's game with 2 lives and pistols.
Any more?

Sharpshooters was a lot of fun...

If we have enough people maybe multi team. Also King of the hill would be cool. We could use the playground for that.

Yea, a big blast should be fine. I suppose one can bring any gun as long as they use it smartly...

And yes, sharpshooters was a lot of fun, hopefully there won't be too many other people there -- but wasn't there a wedding or something? There probably won't be another one... unless we're really unlucky. Multi team is a good idea, it's looking like we will have a lot of people, and king of the hill will be a good one to try out as well. Do you mean it as a FFA or with teams?

Small teams, that is... two or three per... *shrug.*

I'd be down for limiting number of pumps, maybe not in Sharpshooters vs., but in regular rounds. Sometimes stuff gets a bit stand off-ish .

Does this mean if I single mod my titan, I could bring its as long as I only pump it a certain amount and no more?

I haven't done anything to it yet so I could always do a different mod. By don't depend on it do you mean like don't depend on being able to use it?

Correct.

Also, I'll have some stuff I'm looking to sell.
Here is what I've got that I'm looking to sell:
SM3000
Warthog x2(maybe just one though)
Possibly my LnLm or my BBB

If anybody has stuff their looking to sell, feel free to bring it. Also bring some money if you want to buy some stuff.

Yes, you can bring a titan as long as you, and I quote from the rules, "Use common sense."

Like I said though, I'd bring all your guns because you don't want to get there and regret not having brought one. Plus, even if we won't let you use it, it'll still be fun to show off. <_<)

I'd like to ask that we do trading over lunch or after the war. That way we get more play time and less talk time. Note I'm not discouraging trading (and by all means work things out beforehand), but it is a Nerf War, not a Nerf Convention. Ya?

Tell me if I'm being too strict on anything... : o.

Selling/trading won't take much time, but yeah it should waste anytime.

If anyone is interested in the items I posted let me know before hand, so less time will be taken up a the war.
