I've looked all over, and I always see people talking about "NEW, BEEFY, POWERFUL SPRINGS." Now that I want to do some more mods and homemades and such, I'm wondering, Where the hell do you get them. Do you just get them at the hardware store, or is there some secret spring blackmarket I'm just not aware of?

Either look around at hardware stores, or do a google search for Handyman springs. Almost every spring imaginable can be found there, and it's saved me countless times.

Several hardware stores sell springs, although I have never seen any at lowes.
You can also order them online from mcmaster-carr.

You can usually find the Handyman series of springs at Home Depot. I hear ACE has an excellent selection as well.

When speaking about a swallow, always make sure you know whether it is an African or European swallow. It is very important.

Ace and True Value have the best selection.

*ONE WEIRD STORY HAS STARTED*

Go downtown, talk to Juan, he's on the corner of 5th and Cleveland.

Tell him, "I want your beef to in *my* gun".

After you get the beef(y springs) he'll tell you to lube up before you mess around with friends...

*ONE WEIRD STORY HAS PASSED*

So, I go to Ace and get #49 for my nitefinders.

Just ask your friendly Ace employee! (My working friends sux)

The same place I get everything else: http://www.mcmaster.com/
My favorite spring being part# 9637K26
But for specific applications I will choose based on dimensions and wire gauge.

The little critters of nature, they don't know that they're ugly. That's very funny, a fly marrying a bumble bee. I told you I'd shoot, but you didn't believe me. Why didn't you believe me?
