Long story short I am trying to make my own nerf gun rather than use the shell of another when I'm just going to "gut" it anyways. I have a general idea of what I'm wanting, but I'm thinking I may be expecting too much.

I was thinking of making my own PVC container for the air supply and a 12" bicycle pump for, well the pump. I remember seeing a post somewhere with a picture on how to make the air supply on here. If anyone sees and could direct me there I would be thankful. Also I've heard about this sort of "hollow-wiring" used for paint ball to attach an air supply on your back to the gun, I was wondering if there is a cheap way to get that stuff.
I was thinking of using PVC or CPVC for the barrel due to it being powered by a pump not a plunger. I guess now would be the time to say that I was expecting to use this for ranges of 75' to 225(~25 degree slope due to terrain, not self-angle) though I am fully aware that 225 feet is very unlikely. I am also aware that this should not be used in cases where the target is closer than 75 feet ever.
That being said, I'm also curious as to what diameters would work well for this range(while I am aware wind could be a factor this is for neighborhood combat and so the wind will be somewhat negated.) I was thinking of making the gun bolt action with a clip however I am looking for a very low profile how any advise there would be helpful. Also I have no real ideas on how the trigger assembly works so, again, any advise would be helpful.
Thanks for any help you guys can offer. Hopefully my first dive into this will be as entertaining as it is successful.

I think you are talking about Captain Slug's EAB.
Good luck.

For a trigger, use a sprinkler valve. If you want bolt action with a clip you can make a breech with a deodorant clip, it's what I always use for clips. This is only possible with 2 nesting barrel sizes, so brass is probably going to be your number one choice. Though people have made breeches using different nesting materials.

For high ranges and good accuracy, I highly recommend using Stefans. Though, if you plan on using stock darts and still want a clip, a modified version of this breech should work well.

And lastly, the "hollow-wiring" is probably vinyl tubing. It can be purchased at a hardware store like Ace or Home Depot for pretty cheap.

Good luck!

Thanks, and a Target near me sells that deodorant, I'll get right on it. Just wondering though: Does anyone have an idea on barrel length assuming I'm using Captain Slug's EAB. If possible I'd like to make the air tank hold enough air for several shots, but if that limits range lower than 200 feet(Or ability to accurately hit man-sized target at that range if it matters).

I've got a 2' barrel on my Titan and it hits about 200'. Though it's extremely unwieldy, but part of that is because I have to hold the barrel steady because it's non-stabilized and the coupler is loose.
And as a safety note, I'd be real careful with something that powerful. I shot a Stefan out of my Titan and the weight flew out and embedded itself into the piece of wood (cedar, I think) I shot at. This was from like a foot away, but it shows how much damage this thing can do. From like 10 ft. away it put dents in my door after going through 2 of those bubble-wrap/paper packaging material things and through both sides of a cardboard box.

Hmm, do you think that would be dangerous to someone at say 50' to 75' or further? Also, I figure to make it more wieldy I would see if I can put some length behind the grip, like a bull pup. Just a thought and I might change it later, I'm just trying to see what I can do for now.

Also, just wondering. Does anyone know where I could get wire to make a scope? Like what specific wire would I need. Also curious as to how to center it with the Nerf gun.

For my aesthetic scopes, I just used some twist tie wires (the ones you get when you take the paper off the twist tie). In the past I lined up the vertical crosshair and the line where both the halves of the Nerf gun meet then put hot glue all over the bottom of the scope (I use hot glue because it's easier to get off if the blaster needs matinence)
