I'm kinda new here. been lurking for a few months, and did my own paintjob on a maverick.
Anyway, I was at a thrift store and found a ruff stuff 10 dart blaster for a buck. I figure it'll be good practice for my painting. However, I'm having trouble opening it up. I've unscrewed all the screws, and it almost opens, but on the back, it appears to be glued shut. Does anyone know how I can open it without cracking the plastic?

You could put a flat head screwdriver in an opening near the back and slowly shove it deeper in the back until the glue breaks. I had to do this to both of my AT3K's.

On the back of the Tek 10 there's a small plastic cap, like Hierarchy said use a screw driver, it wasn't glued on on mine and should require minimal prying.

Thanks guys! Got it open and started my paint job. I'm going to be trying for a Halo Spartan inspired paint scheme. We'll see how it comes out.

Put rubber bands or tape around the motor wheels. Its not worth modding. I bought one for fun, and gave it to a neighbor.

Rubber bands? I thought the only mods was to upgrade the motor and help seal the feeder.

The wheels that are powered by the moter, if you put something with enough friction to grab it, it will shoot it farther because of the greater hold.

Just return it to Toys R us and buy a Rapidfire 20.
