They were #6 on the Billboard indie charts for record sales, and are doing very well with themselves (100k a month split between 6 guys + 3k of merchandise a show)
Right now they're doing a supporting tour with Underminded, Scary Kids Scaring Kids, Emery, and Chiodos.
Anyways,
Met up with Daniel @ The Avalon in Hollywood.
Traffic was so bad I missed the first 3 sets
Daniel is really nice. He hooked me up in Los Angeles with me + 1.
Shots from the show
Emery
Chiodos
my favorite shot from that night
I need noise ninja
So because I missed his los angeles set, I decided to go to san diego to see his set there.
Stayed in their apartment... :hey:
Took 2 of the girls to the concert and met up with cadaver again.
Underminded:
The Devil Wears Prada
Cadaver
He's good at drums because he has 4 arms.
Actually, I'm not going to post anymore photos.
If you wanna see more, click my site in my sig, then click blog.
Real fun time, comments/critique appreciated.

Sam, I believe he's using a Nikon D100, a digital SLR.

I guess you have some heavy duty industrial strength toilet paper holders. Do they advise you to wear eye protection when changing rolls?

I have to say that my favorite one is the 4th one down with the Emery singer.
Same.
I was thinking about going to a concert with Emery and Devil Wears Prada.
I've never heard them before, I'll have to check them out.
Awesome pictures.

Damn, that's good stuff (even though I'm not a fan of the bands). Are you currently employed by a newspaper or something for photography?
No , It would be awesome if I could sell the pictures to someone like Alternative Press or something along those lines.
I'm just doing it as a jobby hahaha. not my ultimate goal in life.

Nice pictures, Rich. I like the angle you used on most of them. I think black and white is definitely your strong point. Keep up the good work.

Yep Nikon D100
The one on the far left? Ya I took her to the show and the asian girl. I've been infatuated with her for at least 2 years secretly.Great pics.
Love the girl in purple.
Have you tried? I don't want to try to be a life coach, but I've heard some publications pay decent money for good shots.
A lot of my shots lack the fine technical tuning needed. I emailed alternative press the links to my portfolios as well as some more underground magazines, but haven't heard anything back. Next is band managers and press kit stuff.

Great pictures.
What ISO was your shutter on? The pictures look a little blurry, so you might want to increase the ISO speed.

I actually had the one 2nd to the right in my mind, but all's good!
EDIT: On the topic of photography... Do you have any race tracks near you? I've gone to few track days (basically practice runs on a race track) to watch automotive racing (I'm still autocrossing right now and am probably not financially prepared for actual track events), and my older brother does track days for motorcycling. Sometimes they have freelance photographers go out there and take photos of the participants. I believe my brother paid almost $200 for a CD of about 30-40 photos of him racing. It might be something to look into, if you're into that kind of stuff.
