Hello!
I have purchased and modded two of the "Secret Strike" palm-sized airjet blasters. They're really amazing; even just modded so they can use Stefans they have an amazing range. Excellent hold-out blasters. There's only one problem: in combat, I'm already carrying two Mavericks and an extra chamber to slap in to the Maverick when I'm out of darts (gotta love the clip mod). So...

Where the hell do I put these Secret Strikes, or how do I use them, for maximum effect? I'm posting in the Mods forum because I am thinking of a couple of solutions:
1. Attach the SSs to each other for one still pocket-sized, but double-shot Nerf weapon that could still be carried around easily.
2. Integrated the SSs in to an existing gun. Mavericks have a handy "tactical rail"...

Any thoughts? I'm very curious to see if any one of you has come up with a good idea on how to use these

Maybe build the Secret Strike into the top or bottom. That would be kinda cool.

I agree, the Secret Strikes are pretty cool.

I've had an image of the old fashioned "sleeve gun". I added a decent sized PVC/crayola to mine, so I could could carry it under a wristband, charged up (it appears to hold air well).

It DOES hold air well, infinitely as far as I can tell, which is a damn sight better than a frackin' Secret Shot 2 or even a Larami Blast Bazooka (as awesome as it as a loser). I think a wrist blaster would be sweet, possibly with a little band. I'm working on it now. Any ideas?

That's starting to sound like a wrist blitzer now, except air powered with better range.
A tip: Drill a hole in the tank, hot glue a 2-3 inch peice of vinyl tubing to it, and stop off the end. I get 50 feet with stock darts and that mod.

If you had been clever enough to use the search function you would have learned that the SSPB has been used in many integrations, and there are mods to improve their performance:

So yeah anyway the SSPB? It's been done before and to death. Have fun with it but the next time you have an idea that seems so obvious, why don't you seach for it first? If found all the above information using the 2 searches one for 'SSPB' and the other for 'integration'. Imagine what else you can use it to find.

My we're b!tchy... the high degree of thoroughness that you put in to your post sort of contradicts your dismissive, condescending tone. Interesting study in psychology. Thanks nonetheless, that's very useful!

Thanks to everyone else for the great suggestions, by the way. Definitely one going in my back pocket, one in the Nite Finder. Also, is there a possibility that the entire gun could fit in to the battery holder? I'm thinking, "no."

With a bit of dremel work it's possible. You merely need to clear out that area, and the firing button needs to stick out obviously.

Thanks again, yeah, it's so tempting to want it in the handle for a new "Secret Shot I" effect.

One more question, since you all have been very kind to answer all my others. Do you think joining two Secret Strikes together to form one pocket size double barrel airjet gun is worth it? And is it worth it to try putting them on a Mav? Thanks!

Actually I bet you could get it to fit, you'd have to dermel out a bit of the interals. The trick is placing the trigger button so that it is comfortable and not in the way.

To fit it in you'd have to do some fancy cut-and-glue on the valve to barrel connection, as seen in my mod (which cobbers, in fact, beat me to posting). The sspb has that vertical excess route between the valve and pump which can be shortened to save space (or lengthened to increase air volume). If you're willing to put in the time and are careful not to get glue anywhere inside that connection when you shorten it, it will produce a nice mod.

Yeah I was being anal retentively thorough in proving my point in how useful and quick the search function is.


You can't see it very well but if you look at my TTG on the left of this crappy old picture of my arsenal you will notice that I have mounted 2 SSPB's in the orignial TTG, but you have to align them horizontally. The pumps will stick out to one side and you have to drill holes for the trigger button. Overall there is more cutting involved, and it is not as clean looking as PissBacon'sversion

If you're going to glue 2 SSPB's together for a dual-shot, you're still going to need to do a hell of alot of pumping to get them both primed. You're better off purchasing an AT2k.

And you're doing fine thus far, just remember that some mods, like a clip mod, are universal mods; they attach to the barrel itself, meaning almost any gun can use it. Mods like a clip-mod usually aren't gun-specific.
