No extremely large text in sigs.
No more than 2 colors in sigs.
Images in the forums should be on topic.
I don't want to have a million rules so don't make me come up with new ones.

The problem with limits is that there's no way to adequately describe "tasteful". I could impose a size limit and some fucker would just come up with some ghastly thing in chartreuse and I'd have to delete their account in a fit of rage.

Cxwq, I think I'll just go to the range and get some of those nice targets with pictures of terrorists and liberals on them. That'll make me feel better.

And Vacc, you know, the world would be a better place if everyone nerfed. You're right, Nerf is about taking out your aggression. If everybody just shot up his friends with some foam, maybe they wouldn't be out taking over poor third world nations. And I don't hug trees...often...
I've never thought of Santa Cruz as a hippie town. Around here in the Bay Area, Berkeley is the bane of all conservatives. As it happens, I'm going there next year for college.

Eh... I'm not really Green per se. Didn't mean to be misleading.Ah, cxqw, good to know you're one of us.
It's just nice to see a few non-republicans on a Nerf forum.
There always seems to be a depressing majority of social/political conservatism whenever the topic comes up on a Nerf board.
I'm socially very liberal and politically moderately liberal. I like a fair majority of what the Greens and Dems do but each party manages to piss me off quite frequently too. Guess you can't have it all.

i think many people were afraid to vote Green in 2000 because they felt they didn't have a chance. when the green and democratic parties are so closely related, it really hurts them both. i mean, people who would like to vote nader felt that since he didn't have a chance, they would only be hurting gore; who they liked loads more than bush. so, they voted gore when in fact they would have been happier with nader in office.Ah, cxqw, good to know you're one of us. I know you live in California, so you best be voting Green this next Presidential election; you know, maybe get them that 5% needed for federal funding, and maybe scare some Democrats.

question: does the color in a hyperlink count under the 2 color limit? and if yes, is there a way to change the color of one?
Colors in signatures should be absolutely minimized. Used for emphasis rather than personal expression.
As much as the administration appreciates uniqueness of expression, we'd much prefer we do the application of color to our Nerf blasters, instead of working so much on our posts, avatars, and signatures.
It doesn't happen here too much, but I swear, some people spend more time screwing around with their forum posts, avatars, sigs, and options, than they do working on their Nerf guns. Mostly young newbies.

They take up too much space, and some older systems cannot effectively load images, causing them to freeze or slow down even more.
