What to bring:

+ At least one primary.
+ At least 1 pistol for the pistol rounds.
+ Melee Weapon if preferred.
+ Enough ammo ( About 125-200 darts for your primary, and about 100 darts for your sidearm(s))
+ Eye protection is mandatory for players under the age of 18.
+ A bag lunch with plenty of water or some other type of drink. Don't bring perishable foods. You have been warned.
+ Extra water, I will have water on site and there is a bubbler, but bring your own as well.
+ Bug spray, just in case
+ Some money for buying/ selling, etc.
+ Appropriate clothing.
+ Mobstacles. If you have them, bring them.

What not to bring:

- Slingshot ammo weighted stefans- These can cause injuries and are unnecessary; 3/0 Fishing Weight stefans are the heaviest stefans allowed.
- Singled and Plugged Titans; Plugged Titans must be shotgunned to at least three barrels
- Big Blasts that are both singled and plugged.
- LBBs
- National Geographic Guns
- Signal Launchers
- Anything painted entirely black, silver, or any form of camouflage. Think of the children.
- Just use your head

Relevant Information:

~ About crappy darts: PLEASE pick up mangled/ bad stefans and toss them in the bad dart box that will be provided. These can cause serious personal injuries if fired at someone.

~ We will be following the West Coast standards laid forth in Badger's etiquette thread (stickied, please read it).

~ Another thing, please try not to curse loudly. Little kids might be around, and you might piss off parents.

~ Don't be afraid to ask questions! The only dumb question is the one not asked.

~ Anybody is welcome to attend, including family and friends. Said people should be 13 years of age or older.

~ If any guns have any sharp or pointy objects on it, try and duct tape it down. This is mainly for Toaster boy.

~ If a blaster is painted completely black, silver, or camo, you need to wrap orange electrical tape around the barrel if you want to use it. No exceptions.

~ There are bathrooms/water fountains provided on site.

New to this war:

3 Classes for certain matches:
+ Spartan ~ Only person allowed a shield, Melee only
+ Medic ~ Can revive Teammates, pistol only
+ Engineer ~ Can move his own mobstacle
- All 3 may not achieve objectives and only 1 per team
~ If there is too much negative feedback on these classes, we will adjust
them or just abolish them.

- Melee Weapons may now only be 2-4 feet long and 1 foot wide

I have some good news and some bad news.

The good news: I might not be going to Florida because of sudden complicated problems that the company is experiencing where I would work. If I do go, I might be able to make this if it falls on a week that I am back home for break. I really do not know how my plans will work out.

The bad news: I'm not going to Florida. (Possibly.)

So, in summary, put me down as a maybe. Like I said above, I have no idea what I'm going to be doing then.

P.S. If I go, I can be a third co-host if you need help. If you don't need me, I won't do anything.

I like the new classes from what I read. The IBB is the same day though, which I'd also like to go to. I'll see if I can con wicket into agreeing to a date-change to get chi-town people.

I would also like to point out that someone has left a longshot with an integrated mav from the last war at Buena park. Also a cell phone back cover.

Yeah, it got pushed back to the 17th to accommodate some of Wicket's friends. If you had it on the 10th I'd be there for sure, but I don't want to push any of the existing attendees out. I mentioned the conflict to Wicket, and suggested moving his war, as the wars will be competing for chicago area nerfers.

Well it's not your fault, it's one of my friends (the obscenely big-ass pole last war) and I think a little bit with myself as well (banhammer has a little too far of reach). But sure, you can be the scape goat.

I enjoy that this war doesn't start in the morning. Although, could I suggest the war be a little longer? Five hours with a break for food seems a little short. I'm going to spent close the that much time just driving there and back. Maybe start at 1:00?

I am a definite at this point, unless unforeseen events unfold. We'll be bring Effeminate mobstacles and tons and tons of darts.

Hmmmm, I do see your point, I have extended it to 9pm instead though. I really don't want to start this in the blistering heat if I can avoid it.

The only problem with that is it gets dark before that. I'd also like an hour at the end where we can recover darts, especially since we have tons of them. Honestly, the heat shouldn't be too bad, and it's much more tolerable than nerfing in the cold. You can also end it early if we start earlier, but we can't play longer with the recommended schedule.

Just my two cents, might make it more worth while for people coming from out of state. Don't get me wrong, I like the idea of starting the war later. Waking up in the morning is not one of my strengths.

Having talking this over with my dad (who works at the company where I would get my internship), he said the I most likely am not going to be able to go to Florida. Apparently, one of the major investors did something stupid/illegal, and we lost his monetary support. Thus, no money for my payroll until maybe next year. Sadface.

However, now I CAN make this war unless something ridiculous happens. Put me in as a definite. I won't interfere with any hosting stuff unless you guys want me to.

I would be a huge hypocrite if I said he couldn't. Although we do discourage under 13, it's your choice on wether you think that person is ready for a Nerf war. The more the merrier.
