We've been having at least one war every month since last August. We're looking to continue that with more POW! wars through the coming year. We generally have at least 10 local nerfers in attendance, although most of the time the number is in the 15-20 range (if not higher).

Although we mostly only get locals, everyone is welcome as long as you bring an appropriate attitude (they're toy guns, people). Even if you don't have many well-modified blasters, chances are good that someone will have an extra.

This post will be updated as each war approaches and is meant to convey general war information to and provide a place to ask questions for anyone that does not usually visit the Pittsburgh nerf forums. A link to additional details will be provided when available.

All dates are to be considered tentative up to and including the night before the scheduled date (especially in cases of inclement weather).

Additional Info: In addition to nerfing around that pavilion, we may go back into the woods that are nearby...there are several trails and fields that are kept clear by the park's groundskeepers, which are only used by dogwalkers or for special events (and there are none scheduled for this weekend).

I'm not sure how I'm getting down there but if I end up being able to drive down there and there is no room in John's car me and you can car pool, nerfmonkey. Expect me to be very unperpared for this one. Fucking Diablo 2.

It's more difficult to throw regular monthly nerf wars than most people reallize. I hope lots of PA, and maybe some OH, nerfers take advantage of this. Wish the wars weren't all 5 hour drives for me. A well established and active nerf community is a terrible thing to waste.

VACC: Thanks much. If you ever do get the undeniable urge to come to a Pittsburgh war I'd recommend Clash of Steel in July. It's gonna be bad ass.
